  1. The old bike in my pic leaving for Shell now
  2. The last "Official" bike night of the year at Hooters. Hooters Hilliard 9-10 7-9pm or so. If anybody doesn't know where it is I could meet them at the Shell station on Sawmill by 270. I'm heading over around 6 - 6:30pm.
  3. Interesting observation. We do seem to have our share of ones that would die for their beliefs . Heavens Gate, Jim Jones etc. The USA doesn't seem to be that religious at first glance but I think there is more going on here than people want to talk about. I've gone on more than one ride where I noticed churches in the middle of nowhere, I had to wonder, where did the attendees come from? You see at least one in every town. If there are so many churches there must be people going to them. I wonder if media manipulation has anything to do with it? The "Thousands" of protesters are gone 10 minutes after the camera leaves. Hmmm...
  4. Burning the Koran in the USA seems to be a pretty big deal. Burning Bibles in the Middle East, not so much. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/285123/christians_in_gaza_fear_for_their_lives.html
  5. After a day or so of riding I have to say the sound is excellent!
  6. Do you still beat your wife? I heard it on the interwebs, it must be true!
  7. So here is how I solved the problem. First I got help from Wheezle who has a garage and a few tools. Next we drove all over town trying to find an exhaust reducer so we could build what we originally thought was what we were trying to do. Midus, Advance Auto, They all looked at us like a cow looking at a new gate when we walked in. Followed by "Geeze mister, I never seen one of those before" NAPA guy said, "Old kawi exhaust, nope can't help you." Then we found a place called "Mad Hatters Mufflers" 3390 Sullivant Avenue Columbus, OH 43204-1871 (614) 279-1111 When we walked in the guy took one look and asked "Do you need a baffle for that?" We said "Yes." He said "We don't have one so we will have to make one for you." We said "ok." 20 minutes later we walked away with a custom built to spec exhaust baffle. The guy was so helpfull as he flaired and reduced and welded and adjusted the pipe till it was just so. Fits like a glove as the pics will attest to. Sound is awesome. Back pressure is good and the bike runs sooo much better. Did I mention that it sounds great? Here is the photo shoot of the job. Larger pics are available at http://www.ohio-riders.com/album.php?albumid=619 Oh yea, it cost $20.00 for the awsome handmade baffle, $2 for the steel wool and $2 for the mechanics wire.

  9. Um, no. I wasn't on any sub.

This was included to refer to the Great Depth Charging of Cleveland Avenue.

An event where I was carrying water bottles on the back of my bike under a cargo net and then hit a bump and the bottles came out like depth charges.

Looney who was behind me at the time referred to them as depth charges and so the myth was born...:)
