  1. There were 5 of us this month. Not sure where all the riders are. We were averaging 10 each ride last year. Smaller numbers do make it easier to cover more miles without too Mich trouble. We will see what the weather provides for us next month.
  2. Today was a good ride. Could have done without the section of 555 going south before Chesterhill, the surface was terrible. Unfortunately Harb had some electrical problems with his 675 so he had to bail early. The rest of the ride was uneventful and we all had a great time.
  3. For anyone thinking about doing the dual sport, I can tell you it is going to be awesome. We have been working on getting the trails marked so nobody misses a turn. I will be back down there on Wednesday to hopefully tidy it all up. I will be riding sweep the day of the ride so if you see me on a yellow 02 WR426 you are riding too slow.
  4. Meet at Calvary Chapel of Columbus parking lot located at 6075 E. Livingston Ave. We will depart at 9:00 so come filled up ready to go by 8:45. Heading back down to SE Ohio on a 265 mile loop. Pace will be brisk but we do not leave anyone behind. Route: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1682040 Hope to see you there!
  5. Yes, we turned off on 537 over to 260 to 565. Did an epic ride today. I hope we can ride together before the season ends.
  6. Yes, this was our group ride for August. I am guessing the 371 mile route scared many away. It turned out better this way though since we were able to make much better time. You did not offend anyone so no worries. I saw you guys going north on 7 so I am guessing you took 255 back up to 26 and then came south. As soon as I saw that red front end in my mirror I knew it was you. You guys were flying, we were cruising. I had to turn on the jet pack to keep you in sight.
  7. Had a great ride today. Only two other riders showed up but they got a treat. We covered 371 miles without incident. Next months ride will not be as long so hope to see some more of you out there.
  8. Thanks UP for the pull down 26. I tried to hang with you for as long as possible. It is a blast following you. Hope you had a safe ride home.
  9. Won't need to worry about breaking a sweat.
  10. Does that mean you will make this ride or will we not know until that morning?
  11. For those of you that are not planning on going to Indy to sit and watch the MotoGP races. We are doing an epic ride to the river. We will depart from 6075 E. Livingston Ave (Calvary Chapel of Columbus) at 9 am Sharp. This route is 368 miles so we must leave on time and make our stops short. It will be an all day ride and if we end up running out of time we will have some options to bail out early. All riders are welcome, be prepared to see some great roads and have a great time. http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1540250
  12. Welcome Ryan! Glad to see you finally registered with OR. Your bike sounds so much better with the M4.
  13. That's a good trip. I will do that trip some time.
  14. If you are taking 70 back you can be home tomorrow. We did the 1530 from grand junction, co to Delaware, oh in 33 hours. Completed the bun burner 1500 in under 36 hours.
  15. You got lucky. We were pulled over and given a $173 citation for rolling a stop sign in Junction City, KS.
  16. Looks like an epic trip. Riding across Nevada looks similar to riding across Kansas. I just got back from a 3800 mile trip to Colorado and back in 6 days. One day I would love to do this trip, NW states have some amazing beauty and roads. Keep the pics coming!
  17. Hey guys, sorry to change the plans up but I think what we will do Saturday is ride up to Vintage Days instead of doing the Coshocton ride. Phil and I just returned from our Colorado trip and I am really not looking forward to throwing a leg over the bike any time soon. I ended up with 3840 miles since last Tuesday evening. I am sure I will post a write up soon. The return trip was another iron butt of 1513 miles in 33 hours which included a 3.5 hour sleep in Missouri.
  18. EDIT: The ride this month is going to be a ride up to Mid-Ohio for Vintage days. We can still meet at Calvary Chapel of Columbus and take a back road route to the track. There will not be many twisty roads but we will avoid the interstate. Depart from 6075 E. Livingston Ave at 9:00. Arrive at Mid-Ohio around 10:00. From there everyone can leave when they are ready. This place is close enough to the Mohican area if anyone wants to explore some of that area. Sorry for the change from the original plans.
  19. Is there a hidden message in there? What do you mean by "the right bike"?
  20. I have been wanting to put on a weekend rally in the SE Ohio area. Now there is no need since you already have one going. I am going to put this on my calendar and try to make it.
  21. Keep us updated on the progress. Glad to see it is moving forward.
  22. I thought about doing it next month but it may be August since next month I will have just got back from a ride to Colorado the weekend before. Not sure my bum will be ready for an epic SE Ohio ride.
  23. Jim, You were not holding us back, we welcome all types of bikes on our rides as well as all skill levels. We will always wait at every turn to make sure all are accounted for. If someone does not show up we go back and find them. Please do not let your bike be the reason for not joining us on our rides.
  24. I could not have said it better myself. We are not affiliated with any particular church building aside from meeting at the Calvary Chapel of Columbus for our rides. If you are in the Lewis Center area I would be happy to see you at the church I attend but as Ebon said, find one that you are comfortable with and one that will challenge you and then get involved.
  25. Thanks to everyone for coming out. As Hutch already stated, it was a good ride. It is always good when every bike returns home without any new scratches. I rerouted the route to avoid the road closure by Old Mans cave and still ended up in it because of a wrong turn. Sorry guys for the traffic delay but it was not as bad as I expected it to be. I feel sorry for anyone riding through Nelsonville today. The traffic through there was similar to Atlanta during rush hour but with only one lane. If anyone took any pics, post them up please.
