You do not want to carry that stuff on your back, the only thing on your back should be a camelbak which is the most important tool you can have.

I was really looking forward to when you would set the date for the DS ride and now that you have, i will not be able to join you. I will be in PA for a CSBA rally that weekend. I have ridden Tar Hollow several times, that is some great riding down there. I spent many hours clearing and riding in the routes for the Hanging Rock 200 as well as the Nutcracker with BDS. I have had no problem with the lean angle on my PR3's. Yes they are on a Triumph Sprint ST but I can tell you that there is not a chicken strip on the rear and a small one still left on the front.

If you have 4 days I would certainly head down to western NC. Don't just ride the gap though. There are so many more roads around that area that are much better than the gap.

Wow Scottie, sorry to hear about Jay. Glad he did not suffer more severe injuries then he did. At least he is not leaving the road completely.

That was a wicked crash. I cannot believe that he got up after that and finished 14th. He had to be hurting the next day or maybe even that night.

Welcome to the site. Apparently you know many on here already and I guess it is possible that I have met you as well since you have been to Todd's for a shooting event. I was at one of those as well. Maybe you can make it to one of our monthly rides.

It is easy, that is a great handling sport touring bike. It is a do anything type bike aside from gravel roads of course.

Ok everyone, the route is planned for next month. This is going to be a good one, not that the others are not good but this will be the long one of the season and many twisty roads. Many of you will recognize this route from last year. If you cannot spend all day on the bike then you can take off on I-70 after lunch and slab it home. Since the day will include over 300 miles we will find some place quick for lunch to prevent spending an hour or more not riding. Meet at Calvary Chapel of Columbus located at 6075 E.
