  1. Ben is a trooper and he is riding with us. So far the ride has been great. Not too much tragic and good roads.
  2. Remember everyone, we will not depart until 10:00 so no need to get there before 9:30. Pastor Dave will not be there again this morning so the church will not be open. If you need to use the restroom you will need to go to the Speedway at the corner.
  3. It is going to be chilli in the morning so dress appropriately. Need to wear layers that can be peeled. I am sure there will be some traffic out looking at the leaves and there will probably be plenty of leaves on the roads so stay alert. See you all in the morning.
  4. Nice, that is a good track bike or I mean bike for your wife.
  5. Looks like lunch will be at Mama's Rennie's Pizza in McArthur, thanks to Ebon for the recon. They claim to serve the best food in town but that is not saying much considering there is not many places that serve food. They serve more than pizza so you are not limited and they do accept plastic. So far the weather is looking great so it should be a good ride. We may be dealing with some traffic from the leaf watchers but we will survive.
  6. What do you have against Triumph? I would take my Sprint over any bike I have owned or ridden so far.
  7. I have a nice Mille I will sell you.
  8. Here is a picture of us parked behind Bridal Veil Falls. I am sure there will be better pics available soon.
  9. Thanks Tim, I will post pics when I return.
  10. Forecast is looking great for the weekend. It will be cool in the mornings but the daytime temps will be perfect. http://www.accuweather.com/us/nc/robbinsville/28771/forecast-details.asp?fday=1
  11. Took this off the tailofthedragon.com site today. September 26, 2010: TN Bear Hunting in Blount County, which is the Dragon, begins Monday, September 27 and runs thru Sunday, October 3. Bear hunters are allowed to use hunting dogs. Ride with caution, watch for hunting dogs on the roadway. Cooler temps are forecast for this coming week which will bring more color to the mountains.
  12. Tyler, My offer stands for this trip as well. I have room for you if you want to ride down to Delaware Thursday night you can stay at my place. Todd is coming by my house at 6 am Friday morning to load up.
  13. I cannot imaging any possibility of the frame being messed up. I am actually surprised the forks are bent but I guess it does not take much to bend those. I am thinking the forks are just tweaked in the triple clamps.
  14. That is one of my favorite roads. I actually had that in the planned route for Saturday, maybe i will have to route around it. Thanks for the info Jim!
  15. Guys, there will be plenty of room. I know of one guy already that still has a bed available. Plus I have a room booked also. Since my wife is no longer going I was planning on sharing a room with Todd unless he gets more that want to come. We can always make room so don't worry about that.
  16. This will probably be the last ride of the year for us and I would like it to be a fun and crash free ride. The route is 203 miles and will take us down through the Hocking Hills region. We will meet at Calvary Chapel of Columbus located at 6075 E. Livingston Ave at 9:30 and depart at 10:00. This is the route thanks to Ebon http://ridewithgps.com/trips/112218
  17. I was thinking of maybe doing a hocking ride to finish out the season.
  18. Harb67, It is great to hear from you, glad you are not feeling much pain. I would be very surprised if your insurance does not total that bike. As far as the Daytona goes, that is a sweet bike but it will be no where near as comfortable as the 650 but I am sure you already know that. You also cannot go wrong with the Triumph. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
  19. Sorry you missed us Link. We did not leave until 9:30 so you must have really been late. Did you happen to take 595 to 278 to 78. Ben said that he saw a buell when he and Phil took their own route.
  20. I hope the Dayton group had a good time as well. Sorry they had to miss out of the better roads but 78 is still one of my favorite roads. I am sure they enjoyed 83 as well.
  21. Where you were lounging we noticed after the trooper left he stirred up a bunch of bees. That could have gotten ugly if they would have found you.
  22. I just spoke to Jareth's dad also and he said that mom is planning on bringing him home tomorrow so for now I will not be going down there. I asked his dad to keep me posted.
