  1. It is official, we will be hosting a Knee Down Clinic for a maximum of 25 riders. There will be two CCS Racers providing the instruction. We will have a tight course laid out with cones in the parking lot of Xenos Christian Fellowship church at 1340 Community Park Drive, Columbus, OH. The event will begin at 8:00 am and we are hoping to be finished by 6:00 pm. Lunch will be provided as well. The day at a glance: There will be a safety briefing, a period of instruction and demonstration and then we will start the riders through the chocked bike for body positioning. After a session on the chocked bike, the riders move to the KTM for on board training. The riders will be filmed, after their session the film is transferred to a laptop and the rider moves to a critique stage with the film as "evidence." Then, he/she gets back in line to ride again. Meanwhile, the same process is going on with the next rider. This is a great opportunity to learn more on control and body position without the risk of laying your own bike down. The only requirements we have is you must sign a liability waiver and have full safety gear! This means at a minimum: Textile pants, jacket, boots, leather gloves and helmet. Full leathers are always preferred. If you would like to sign up for this event or are interested in helping out please send me an email at jcmathis@insight.rr.com. If you would just like to come and hang out with us you can do that as well. There is no charge for this event, you do not need to worry about scratching your bike because you will be riding a KTM Motard. Since we can only do this for the first 25 that show up it is important to register with me. If you do not make the initial list I would still suggest you come out for the event because there is a good possibility that someone will not show up. 2. For everyone that is still subscribed to this thread, we have set the date and moving forward. The event will be held on June 25th in the parking lot of Xenos Christian Fellowship church located at 1340 Community Park Drive, Columbus. I will be posting a new thread in the next few days so keep you eye out for it.
  3. You can deal with a little pain for what the payout would be. When I had my WR250X I rode from Delaware over to Zanesville and then down 555 to the river and back. You will forget about the monkey butt once you start moving around on the seat in the twisties.
  4. Ouch! Better have some preparation h for that kind of mileage.
  5. If I can find the 2's for $40 less than the 3's I will get the 2's as well.
  6. I am in need of a rear so I may have to give it a try. I have been very happy with the Pilot Road, never tried the Road 2 so maybe I will just skip to the 3.

  9. I am sure I will get out for a short ride this afternoon.
  10. Still planning on making it but may be a little late.
  11. I rode today but when crossing Alum Creek bridge on Schrock this morning I noticed there was ice all around. Made for a pucker moment.
  12. Welcome! Hope to see you on some of our group rides next season.
  13. Wow David, I thought you were going to say you lost your job, your house was foreclosed on, your wife left you, you have only eaten one meal this week which was cold and the card board box that you are living in now is not keeping you warm or dry from this weather. Put it in perspective, you have so much to be thankful for compared to others out there.
  14. I rode to work today but then at lunch I checked the forecast and decided to take the bike home and get the truck. I don't mind the cold or the rain but put them together and I hate them.
  15. I plan on riding to work tomorrow and the forecast is calling for upper 20's. Brrrr!
  16. I am thankful for my awesome wife (passenger) and family as well as the great group of OR guys and gals that I have been able to meet this year on our rides.
  17. Thanks for the pics Scottie! I am glad there are others that take pics since I always forget to.
  18. Just realized that the location has changed. It was 4 miles from my house when it was AD Farrows, now it is more like 40 miles. May still give it a go as long as the roads are good.
  19. That is only 4 miles from me, I think I can make that.
