  1. They've been cracking down on "government jobs" being done at work...too many people taking advantage of it and spending too much work time on home projects. Always some fucker that ruins it for the rest of us. But yes it is pretty sad I work at Lincoln Electric and have to pay someone to weld it for me.
  2. I have a price range in mind. I know tig welders are expensive for a good one...which is why I don't have one myself. Depending how many welds there will need to be, and if I can get it tacked up and off the bike myself (I have a mig) I was thinking $50-100?
  3. I have an exhaust project I'm working on and I'm going to need a few welds done, hoping to have them tigged. Anyone looking for a side job/extra cash, let me know. It will consist of about 2-4 welds the diameter of the pipe, and tacking on a mounting tab. I'd like to bring over the whole bike so it can be mocked up/tacked first. PM me a number and we can talk $ and time/location. Thanks! Brandon
  4. I was gonna skip out on this one for a company golf outing, but no one is going now anyways. So I'll be there. Do they do race school on saturday, and would it be worth my time to do it this late in the year?
  5. Na, I just knew your sorry ass won't go. You need to get all the sand out of your vajay-jay and as I believe you put it "get off the porch and ride with the big dogs!"
  6. I'll follow/tow you around for an entire track day and give you all the pointers I can. But I'm one of those "Do what I say and not as I do" kinda coaches cause well I'm still a newb too. I know what I should do, I just don't always do it. It would probably be good for me too. My only stipulation is...we ride at Nelsons!
  7. Had another great day at the Beave, as always! I definately had a lot of head shake all around the track, front straight, back straight. But I think that has to do with my newbish death grip on the bars. It never used to be that bad but as I start to go faster its becoming more apparent. Something for me to work on. And congrats to all the guys who raced Sunday, everyone came home in one piece from our group anyways. I stuck around to watch, and it convinced me that I'll sign up for my first race in the near future. If it's not this year it will be next.
  8. Slant eye bringing the chorizo? Who's gonna bring the General Tso's? I'll bring the Lucky Charms for breakfast since I'm the most leprechaun-ish of the group. Oh and a case of beer for Saturday night since I won't be doing any riding Sunday.
  9. I'm signed up for this one too, hoping to head there Friday night cause it'll be a long day if I go in the morning. Jbot, we gonna trailer down together? I don't mind staying for Sundays events.
  10. Hey, I'm that other turd...and its a daytona not a speedtriple, get it right! Julian is a great instructor to have if you are one of the faster Novice riders...seems like the other instructors are always getting mad at him for passing. I'm suprised he's still an instructor there, lol. On another note if he's not instructing that day (which was the case last BeaveRun track day I was at) but still there, he'd be more than happy to tow you around in Open for a couple sessions. Probably at a rediculous pace passing a lot of the other Open riders.
  11. Had a great time, think the heat got to me a little at the end of the day. I had to sit one session out cause I just felt exhausted. But can't wait to do the next one.
  12. I'm signed up and I'll be there Friday evening sometime. Looks like it should be a beautiful weekend.
  13. Thinking I'll probably sign up too.
  14. You're on vacation, get off the computer and go do something! Track bike, not even a decision to make.
  15. Ya I think we lucked out with the bit of good weather that we did have. From what I heard it rained pretty much all day up here in eastlake. I liked the track too, I didn't even notice the bumps and stuff, but probably because I was concentrating too much on lines, riding position, etc.
  16. How was the track tonight Jinu? Did you wind up leaving your stuff there?
  17. I need to take some advice from this comment. I was too concerned with how fast I was going and should've been concerned with working on the basics.
  18. Looks like the storm might be rolling through a little earlier than they originally thought. Hoping it will clear up a little throughout the day.
  19. Sounds like a good plan. I'll take the rims and tires off the street bike and bring them "just in case" it rains, and then it won't.
  20. I guess you're just an average retard? Next time you should probably smoke some reefer before you go out on the track. I hear it helps calm the nerves?
  21. Lol, being "fast" in the novice group is kinda like winning the special olympics you still lose.
  22. Cool, I may come just to watch Friday night. Definately not riding an open track day yet especially one I've never been at. Which would be all of them except Gingerman.
  23. You actually rode behind him? I just passed and went around, sometimes he even waved me by. By the way, thanks for the pics Rob.
  24. The shitty part is, the mistakes us novice guys make tend to hurt more than just a little shaking of the head!
