i'm not much for group rides but, the 555 ride to the river ride last saturday out of Jug'z Tavern - 420 E. Main, Newark OH, was the best group ride i ever been on. just like the flyer said, fun people, on a fun ride, with fun stops.

3generation magna has 80 hp and only 500lbs. that is less than a VFR. in addition, the 17'' front wheel makes for good handling.

just got back a couple days ago. rode 2up on a 1479mi., 5 day, Columbus OH - blue ridge parkway loop. took I75 down. stayed in Robbinsville NC. rode the area attractions, tail of the dragon, etc.. then, rode from robbinsville to BRP by way of Cherokee. rode BRP m.469, to fancy gap m.199. finally, I 77 back home. the BRP is open, in good - excellent condition, no detours, some road construction. much BRP recently resurfaced in EC..

the BRP motorcycle campgrounds is nice place to stay. has cabins so as bikers dont have to bring camping gear. located Rt. 276 Cruso, NC off BRP mile 411 about 11miles from asheville, NC..

the majestic triangle is reference to the best mc roads in the smokey mountains. bound by cherokee and deal's gap NC to the west, blowing rock NC and shady valley TN to the east and, helen GA to the south. using asheville NC as base, one can ez ride the triangle and just about everything in between in three days.

whenever i ride the BRP, i usually ride between fancy gap (m199) to end. which makes asheville NC the perfect base.
