from charleston WV, i dig taking I-77 to fancy gap. next, BRP to cherokee and onto tail of the dragon. finally, by way of maryville, knoxville, I-75 back to ohio. about 1150mi. loop.

i went to Chili Cookoff, today Noon to 2 p.m., Downtown AD Farrow Dealership. many contestants, much really good chili. i wanted to taste all but, to many slow fat peeps in the way. the place was really crowded. many bikes in parking lot. 50) i think i had the only rice bike there.

multi-purpose lube gel by radio-shack. impervious to salt and fresh water, works in -45* to +450*F .. i use on all my mc electrical stuff. bulbs, connections, spark plug wires, etc.. works ok for me.

i'm surprised there still one runing. the first and second generation magna's have problem oiling upper cylinder heads (cams)...

general rule of thumb, no laces, no steel toe, not waterproof. check out Double H Engineer Longhorn boots. work ok for me.

dig, i owned two of them, 94 & 95. they were both very good bikes. i put 75k on them combined. good luck with your bike and ride safe.

yea really, the Magna guys for the pass 20yrs., are the one's who have been asking for 1200cc V4 shaft drive.

where can i buy a torque wrench, for smaller bolts. 4-25 lb-ft range. TIA..

i use a hand wrench. i hook one end of wrench to garage rafter, other end to mc with soft ties. can lift either end of mc or entire mc.. hand wrench can be bought at any hardware store for about $20..
