  1. Johnny,

Congrats on winning the IMS Triumph Rocket. I'm sure you have a great big smile on your face.

Let me know if you need any help learning wheelies on that beast.

    LOL

    Brad

  2. If you "hang off" while traveling down the freeway, you can avoid the center of the tire bald spot. Make sure you alternate left and right leans so the tire wears even.
  3. Somehow, that stop has turned lame. Not many seem to want to ride out and around just for fun anymore. I'm not a fan of standing around and watching a bunch of "butt sniffers".
  4. +1 for MPH Doug has done great work on both Sportbike and HD tuning.
  5. Roads don't disappear ... traffic does.
  6. Shifting (4-speed) is on the right and rear brake is on the left.
  7. It's on grass and does look super low. On pavement there is just enough clearance to maneuver. You aren't going to be able to lean very far before bits touch. The pegs do pivot up and that is a part of the chopper's trait. Adding shocks to the rear and having it back up to stock rear height gives you a bit more clearance. Going down the road won't have you dragging the frame, unless you push it in the turns.
  8. Own a piece of custom history... 1972 Harley Davidson Sportster Chopper 4 cam motor with P2 cams Springer extended front end Hard link rear (shocks can be added for rear suspension) Coffin fuel tank It's a unique bike that you won't see every day. It takes a bit of talent/bravery to ride. Attracts alot of attention. $5500 OBO Contact Tom (216) 570-4000 for more details
  9. Someones going to loose some fingers running their pickle across a chain. I'm thinking that they may not realize that there is a sprocket waiting for them.
  10. Oh, there's plenty of reason for harassing those who ride HD's. LQTM
  11. Riders Discount has got thousands of my dollars. I don't shop anywhere else.
  12. Ballistic 8-cell Battery - about 5 lbs saved, or more.
  13. Fat girls as passengers = wobble reduction, LOL.
  14. It hits the window, throws off some sparks, makes a whizzing sound and leaves a crack mark. Same concept as the General Lee's tires squealing sounds made on dirt roads.

    Is it true?

I'm kind of bummed. The guy took my drilled and safety wired caps. Now I got shiny Harley Davidson chromish looking bling caps on the bike.

    Is it true?

I've had a long stem core on my 750 tear. It left me stranded on a freeway. The stems on my R6 are the short version. I don't think they would tilt or fold over. The tire guy was talking about the core of the stem compressing and leaking out air, and not about the stem folding over.
  17. Tire guy, at a trackday, told me that centrifugal force draws the valve stem core down and air escapes from the tire. Is it true? He replaced my plain plastic valve stem caps with metal ones. Indicated that the rubber seal inside keeps the air in. Seemed kind of odd.
  18. Every time I see this street garbage, i think to myself ... what a great weekend I just had enjoying my track day.
  19. Who's the cool kid on the blue/white R6 ? Watching him ride and do practice starts was cool. My lil R6 learned a bit from him. Was a great day, met new people and saw some friends. Actually got some heat into the tires and shagged em' a bit. An accomplishment for a novice like me. Great fun. Thanks lots Kevin and John. Pulling off successful TD's isn't easy ... (load/unload/load/unload) but your help made it that much easier.
  20. No slouches there. Looks like fun.
