I rode to Alexandria Ky. and took Ky.10/22 back to Maysville, once you get out of town, light traffic, good twisty road. If you go and have never been there are some pavement breaks to watch for, the usual gravel and "field debris" you find around farm area. Also, part of the time was work traffic and the locals don't see anything wrong with going a little left of center on you as they approach. About 250 miles of a good fall ride. If I had more time I would've rode out to SR253 back into Ohio up US52 and out SR125 west through the Shawnee forest through Scioto and Admas Counties. That'd be a great ride.

I know a good route back on the Ohio side too if you're interested.
-
O.K.Yeah I don't know what I was thinkin', 8a, still dark and cold. I'll check back at around 10:00A. I say Xenia is good around 12:00-12:30, you can be more specific on time if you want. If I'm late, I'm either dead or I crashed or both. Are you coming down 75 to 35? Let's meet at Buckminn's HD on US42 just north of US35? And we'll try 10/22

Alright, I'll check back again before I shut off and in the morning to see if you left any additional posts..

8a could be a little nipply. I'm pretty flexible. What do you think?
-
I don't care. Meet at 8? too early? Got an idea where yo u want to ride? I know a couple decent rides in S. Ohio. NKY. not so much. Don't mind trying that though. I'm right in Wilmington. Give me an idea of where you want to meet and time? I really have no set schedule tomorrow.

It's like gettin' in the water at the beach when its cold, you know the first few moments are gonna suck but after that you forget about it and enjoy it. Besides in a few weeks we'll all be cryin' the blues for spring...

I was going for a little ride today too. I'll check back before I leave to see if there's a response..

What time and where to meet?

Generally, most banks and credit unions if they will loan on a salvage rebuilt title it's for the wholesale amount. My credit union will loan on the wholesale. Ex. I bought a bike for $6000.00, the most they would do on it was $4000.00

You don't have the ins. guy write you a check for parts. (He won't do that normally.)You get a settlement plus the bike. You take part of the settlement money and you're responsible to buy the parts yourself. You show the receipts for all parts to repair the bike during the inspection at a salvage facility. But I probably wouldn't buy new parts unless I absolutely had to. If you do go online and get your stuff from Ron Ayers Motosports, it's the cheapest place I've found for OEM plastic, etc. Got any other q's ask me, I deal with this stuff a lot.

FYI, The insurance guy won't look at the title more than likely don't offer the info. that it's a salvage rebuilt title. If he makes an offer you don't like, negotiate. Also let him make the offer for a total and the insurance company keeping the bike. Then, ask, how much to buy back. His only concern is the bottom line. You'll come out o.k. You will have to go through the salvage process again. You will get a salvage title. Go to your local BMV, pay $53.50 for an inspection form. Make the necessary repairs, documenting any v.i.n.'s from any parts sources and/or retain receipts for purchased parts. Schedule the appointment with the H.P for an inspection. Take the form back to the title office get your rebuilt salvage title. The ins. guy will look at year, make, model, damage, and mileage. Check you particualr bike on e-bay, craigslist and NADA and kelly blue book to get an idea of what a general value was prior to the crash.

She won't do jail time, "Sruit" is on target with comments. Lebanon Muni is located at the corner of SR123/63 in the center of Lebanon directly across from the Golden Lamb restaurant and catty corner from the City Library, second floor. Parking available in rear of building although limited. From Columbus, head south on I71 to exit 32, SR123, ramp off go right stay on SR123 past the Bob Evans and the Sibcy Cline Realtor, go under SR48, stay west on SR123. Once you're off the interstate, stay straight you'll run right into the Courthouse on the corner, about 5 miles or so off the interstate. For the record, Judge Bogen is extremely fair and one of the best Judges in Southern Ohio. Firm but Fair. We all know that cage drivers on average are less than "attentive" but it bears repeating that bike riding is a more or less "risky" behavior to engage in that the average citizen wouldn't consider and the average "do-gooder" would like to see restricted. There are all sorts of things to consider such as encroachment, point of possible perception for both drivers, point of no return, etc. A couple of facts remain, she was negligent and caused the proximate death of another, she is innocent until PROVEN guilty, somethin we all enjoy as a citizen, she didn't intentionally murder anyone. Lastly in cases like this the civil liability outweighs the criminal intent, there is no criminal intent, however much you'd like there to be because you ride a bike. I had a cager swerve into my lane on I71 south this morning. I saw it coming. but i still gave her the stare as I went by. She knew what had happened, you could see the look on her face. Be careful. Ride on.

It matters.

They'll be a day when no one will come to Israel's aid or assistance. It won't be a question for the U.S. to say we won't but rather, we can't. We can't because we are spread too thin militarily, we can't because we're broke. But, most importantly, that's not part of the plan.

There's not a lot in Clinton County, except the sw corner. Usually we go to Highland, Adams, Pike, County. The rest of it is usully the same as what everyone else posts on here, or what I've seen anyway southeastern Ohio. A ouple of my friends rode 56, Vinton, Ross, Hocking County last Saturday. I couldn't go. Did make it to the flat track charity races at the Montgomery Co. fairgrounds Sat. eve. though, pretty good evening.

Very nice. Worth the $. But Issac's Papa is right, not original paint. Who cares why it was repainted as long as its straight and YOU like it. It definitely will cost you more for maintenance and parts. Now if you don't mind dropping $15,000.00 I know where there is a '98 SPS, of which only 50 were imported, and about 24 are left that are accounted for. Motocorsse exhaust and other parts. 425 original miles. Very nice.

Coshocton=sheep Probably has something to do with being in a rural area....... Maybe the sheep get out on the road......... Maybe the sheep.... who knows.

Nice job, smoother than my first long ride. Left Wilmington at 5:30AM, picked up 3 buddies at 6AM. In Columbus, lost the threaded adjuster for my shifter linkage, which leftt he shifter swingin in the breeze, rode it stuck in 4th gear to Delaware, Oh. Could find no parts to roadside fix. Let the buddies go, rode it back home, swapped out my reaersets for the stock set, ate a sandwhich, left the house again at 12 noon, rode into New Brighton, Ct. at 1:40AM, 985 miles later. Hooked back up with the buddies Got up at 6:30Am, off to Holliston, Ma. picked up a 4th guy rode to Laconia, N.H. The first day was solo and about 2/3's of it was in a moderate to hard rain, sucked. A bird in the chest at around 100mph hurts alot too. And, the expansion joints in the pavement in the dark in New York towards the end of the ride at highway speed also suck. Was a good trip though. Deal's Gap at night is pretty rough.
