Sounds like it's time for the thread and needle.

Supporting motorcycleists is one thing, I don't support the HD industry though. They have perpetuated more "bad" stereotypes and incorrect information than the whole of the MC industry. It is hard for me to deal with any group that encourages drinking and riding, lack of proper gear or unsafe riding techniques. I know there are lots of HD owners and riders who are great riders, are ATGATT and don't perpetuate the HD stigma. To them I appologize for the stereotype the ownership of a HD gives them. As to the AMA I figured out a long time ago that they have to appeal to the masses. It doesn't mean they are ignoring the concerns of other riders. So if the HD crowd is interested in racing I say more power to them. Maybe it will change some HD views on use of proper gear or the dangers of drinking and riding.

I was thinking of posting some links to threads that meet this criteria! But I think this is almost as good.

A bit more rain that I would have liked to endur but I hate rain, years of landscaping soured me. I got the last of the video put together tonight and hope to get them uploaded tomorrow if I can make it to the library. I think a lot of the street bike riders who complain about the dragon will like some of the video of the blue ridge parkway and 276. Not a cop in sight and some really great twisties!

So I took a little trip to the smokies last weekend. No I didn't ride the dragon or cherry-cola skyway There were 5 of us from Ohio including myself. Freinds of mine, John and Becky made it down Wednesday with some minor electrical issues on Johns bike that threatened to ruin his whole trip. I made it down Thursday to a relativly dry day just before CHS and Dave made it to camp. John did end up resolving the rectifier issue on his bike Friday while we went out with Cherokee Chuck to play. First little hill we did was a great view and had a nice little challenge section at the top. We went on to try some other trails but found them closed off. Yep we were "persona non grata". We made one last stop before lunch. Chuck Crossing Lt Dan Crossing Keith and the sinking ship We played with trying to get the water out of his bike while Lt Dan and Chuck rode around the other side for a bit. After Lunch we tried to tackle a hill that was just a bit to wet for us to all get up. I think one rider made it up with a few others who were pulled up but by the time I got there it was to unforgiving and we all turned around as there were 5 more behind me who were only half way to where I had gotten stuck. I'd say the most fun was going up a hill we went down before lunch. Really fun and was not very wet so we had good traction and could get some good speed. CHS riding up CHS's friend Dave was liking it too. We did a couple more forest roads and then headed back about 4pm. The last few miles we rode back to camp were an absolute wash! Lucky me had a dirt bike helmet on and the rain was stinging my face real good. Saturday I woke up not feeling real good and decided to go explore on my own. So after seeing CHS and Dave off I hoped on the bike and rode down to Pisqua Falls and took some nice photos of the diffrent water drops along the way. I continued on out towards Ashville and 191 then rode the Blue Ridge Parkway back. It is really nice and even the 45mph speed limit didn't seem to matter as I was checking out the view most of the time. I'd recommend the Blue ridge to anyone who wants to really get a good view and ride some good roads. After I got back I decided to play around in the creek next to the camp and unwittingly disturbed a nest of hornets in a tree just above the water. I got stung a bunch and was lucky enough to have my prednisone with me as I soon started to break out in hives. But after a couple pills and an hour nap or so, I was back to normal more or less. Even if I was a bit sore. So we got some good riding in even if we spent most of it soaked to the bone. Next time I'll know better and when the forcast says rain I'll believe it. LOL I'll try to get video from the ride up later this week.

IDK night rider? Could be a sexual conatation for hooker or bimbo. God bless you if you have suceeded at being either of these as a man. We had a guy on another forum use a photo of a hottie on a KLR and he kept getting hit on by leg humping old men on the forum thinking he was the girl. Maybe you should use an avitar like this?
-
Be carefull doing this! Teflon reacts with many chemicals and may turn to liquid gum or worse in your break line inhibiting proper flow or function.
-
Naaa, just have them move it to Emaculate fucksticks or something.

I'll mention it to people but most my friends are dual sport or adventure touring riders. Now that you have a price you can live with post it up again like a proper sale vs asking who wants to pay??$$?? for it.
-
PS nice picture but IMHO it makes people think you are a chick when you have a girl as your avitar. Unless you are establishing your new sexual freedom and are planning to use the $450 towards an operation of some sort?

Does a photo of the bike help?

I remember seeing a guy race a motard at VMD against a pack of sport bikes and win with ease! It changed my perspective on the motards. But not enough to keep me from getting this. SE is still more fun in my book.

A doctor, an engineer and a lawyer are out hunting. They come across a pile of bones and the Dr says' "watch this, go get em stethoscope"! The dog jumps head long into the bones and when the dust settles there is a perfectly reassembled animal skeleton. The other two are impressed but the engineer says' "watch this, go get em sliderule"! The dog jumps head long into the bones and when the dust settles there is a perfectly assembled bridge with supports and braces in place. The other two are impressed but the lawyer says', "watch this, go get em slick"! The dog jumps head long into the bones and the other two dogs but when the dust settles there is nothing but bones and two very sore looking dogs. The Dr and engineer are confused and ask "what did he do?" The lawyer explains, "can't you see he has screwed the other two dogs and owns all the bones".

+1 but funny none the less.

Nice list Casper. +1 rep for you. As for the covering of the front break, yes it takes experience to do it right but then again, if your not experienced at doing it get off the road and practice it till you become a better rider. Since dmagicglock took #51 #52 Group riding When in a group ride at your skill level. Do not try to keep up if other riders are going faster than you feel comfortable riding. If they refuse to wait for you you are better off riding with people who will. #53 Check That Bike Keeping your bike in proper condition is essential to having a safe and happy ride. This mean checking break pads, cables, fluid lines, condition of tires (as mentioned), all nuts and bolts, triple clamp and lube moving parts. #54 Don't drink and drive You have chosen a activity that requires quick thinking, balance and good reactions. Don't reduce these by consuming alcohol. Remember the bike you spill may be your own.

Don't ask a bear for a BJ! Lesson learned.
