Yeah, if I remember correctly it was a hiker in Alaska or Washington state who ran into a giant grizzly. The remarkable part was he was armed with a .38 cal pistol and had gotten off several shots. Apparently it just really pissed the bear off further since the bear chewed him a new asshole! Only report close to what I had heard is this, so maybe he didn't have a gun?: Man Eaten By a Bear in Alaska It happened late Friday on a campground that is just a quarter-mile from a bear-viewing platform operated by the U.S. Forest Service in Hyder, Alaska. George Tullos, 41, was camping alone, using only a tarp for shelter when he was apparently attacked and killed by a bear and partially eaten. The campground in which he was staying is located along the Canadian border about 75 miles from Tullos' hometown of Ketchikan. In an odd twist, the campground lived up to its name: Run Amuck. Bruce Bartley, a spokesman for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, said he could recall only three cases of bears attacking people and eating them in the past 20 years. Alaska State Trooper Sgt. Kurt Ludwig said there had never been a bear attack before in the viewing area, even though "the tourists have been known to get extremely close to the bears." Here we go: Based on the contents of the bears stomach, the Fish and Wildlife Commission established the bear had killed at least two humans in the past 72 hours. His last meal was the unlucky nature buff in the third picture below. The US Forest Service, backtracking from where the bear had originated, found the hiker's 38-caliber pistol emptied. Not far from the pistol was the remains of the hiker . The other body has not been found. Although the hiker fired six shots and managed to hit the grizzly with four shots (they ultimately found four 38 caliber slugs along with twelve 7mm slugs inside the bear's dead body) it only wounded the bear - and probably angered it. The bear killed the hiker an estimated two days prior to the bear's own death by the gun of the Forest Service worker. http://mountainsurvival.com/news_articles/eaten.html

It's all good, I'm just teasing. I hope the economy gets better soon or I fear we'll fall back into a full depression. You know things suck when monster has a total of 18 jobs posted today within a 40 mile radius of me. Of the 18 jobs more than half are US military jobs. "Go to Afganastan and learn to be a weather forcaster". Hot and Dry again with chances of more hot and dry for the next 352 days.

Easily missed news story about Leno giving up the tonight show and starting his own prime time variety show on at 10. Big experiment for channel 4 (NBC) to try and keep the Leno popularity rolling. Last night was it's first run, I missed it in favor of PBS special about the migration patern of the north american snipe. Very interesting as it turns out they are totally nocturnal and only come out to the sound of aqua lung played from a non stereo sound source. There are only two left and they are both males, but they are gay so it's okay. They migrate from Canada three times a year to see all the games that the Bangles have the slightest chance of winning and then fly back to Canada to catch reruns of Bob and Doug McKinzy. If you read all of this you need to go to sleep earlier and stop watching Craig Ferguson.

I think you should see how blow tastes with lemons and report back with a hooker.
-
Maybe it was, "when life gives you a hooker squeeze her lemons?" Maybe we should start another thread to determine the greater meaning that having lemons gives to the world?
-
For me it was like a burp without anything coming out and liquid going down.

Yeah, sorry. I guess I was thinking more about making it clear why I don't any more than how I did drink back then. Lets just say when I drank I didn't do it half assed. I drank straight from the pitcher, loved Yukon Jack on tap, and it required a crane to lift the funnel I used. Okay, not all of that is true. Now I get buzzed on a six pack and once a year I do drink for one night.

I thought it was, "when you want a really good blow job, feed your wife lemons?" Pucker up honey!

I had admired the KLR's for a while for being a tall bike with a big engine. Well, in 05' I found a used KLR650 and took off from work to get the bike, cash in hand. I practiced riding in the yard for two weeks to get my basic riding skills back before going to get my temp and hitting the street. I fell in love with riding all over again and soon was on the look out for a V-max (sold), then a XT250 (sold), then a V-strom, then a KE100 (sold), then a yz426 and finaly a KTM 950se. I've wanted to test ride a Kaw 1400 for a while but have yet to talk myself into going back to a 100% street bike. Especially after the trouble I found when I had the V-max.

I have no idea if this story was true or not but it is one of those funnies I heard when I first started riding. Plus it's a good way to convince friends to wear gear. A Sgt in the US army (I believe he was a MP) was posted in Turkey. As a experienced rider and having experience trainning others he was utilized to teach a MSF style class for locals who worked on the base and wanted to ride their motorcycles onto the base. Since the base is technically US property they had to take the class to be able to do this. Well his first day was a packed class of very hairy, very gruff looking, locals who all had been riding their bikes for years and felt this was a total waste of time. They also showed up with not a bit of proper riding gear despite the fact the rules, just like MSF classes here, required a helmet, jacket, full length pants, ankle high foot wear and gloves. He scolded them for having no gear and showed several videos of accidents in the US where riders didn't have gear on. They all seemed determined to continue riding with no gear in particular NO Gloves! When he asked why they replied "wearing gloves made you less than manly and they had big caluses from the hard work they did and would not need them". So he asked them, "what is the natural reaction when you fall?" They agreed it is to extend your hands to catch yourself. He then asked "what would happen to your hands if you did this while riding at say 60kph?" They agreed it would probably tear every last calus off their hand resulting in them being to sore to do anything with them. He then asked, "If you can't use your hands who will wipe your asses if you crash?" They had full gear and gloves on the next day.

We all have various reasons why we ride the type (s) of bikes we do. I've found that very few people will get very diffrent bikes. In fact most who have two or more bikes have the same type of bike as a backup for their favorite bike. So this begs the question, "Why did you pick that type of bike"? Is it because your friends all have them, is it what you grew up with that type of bike, is it financial reasons, or is it a preferance for that style of riding? Curious minds wanna know.

Going by that math I have 18 more years to live. Just enough time to relive my childhood (again).

Hey at least you guys didn't have people running around saying you were dead!

I'll give you 1 million dollars in 30 days if for those 30 days you do the following. Day 1 give me $.02, day 2 give me $.04, day 3 give me $.08 and keep doubling the amount you give me each day for those 30 days.

Would this fall under the Ohio lemon law?
