  1. Well, to be honest I had to make it a little inaccurate as if it was to similar to the real song you tube would block it. I tried harder to make the lyrics humorous.
  2. More comedy stylings from ADVFilmer as I do my version of Major Tom by David Bowie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68i3VLm6eN8
  3. I'll let a friend know about it as he just bought a used saber. He might be interest in it as a parts bike if it is visually similar. So get the photos up.
  4. Poor kid, it's like he just found out Pink Floyd isn't a strip mall drag queen. Wait till he learns that David Bowie IS!
  5. Remember when everyone was investing in Europe because of their strong economy? Well, with Ireland, Spain and Greece coming apart those funds are being drained weakening the standing of many banks and companies. The overall result of a Euro-fail would surely be another dip even further into the recession. As a result many companies are storing up excess funds they have hoarded as cushions for such a disaster. The result will be smaller dividends, less hiring and fewer signs of growth which will effect all the US and world companies. Today started off looking good but sucked by the end as doubts rose about the ability of the euro to bail out Spain and Greece. Set me back to about break even last I looked.
  6. Powell's mc safety chairmen missed his appointment with a deer by seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSKfESe-J1s
  7. Columbus is full of idiots in cars, glad you avoided the three who displayed there vehicular aptitude that day.
  8. Careful, you'll end up with earwax at banned camp.
  9. Just a hint, don't skip over the drug and alcohol penalties like I did. They seem to weigh those situation heavily on the test. Remember they consider EVERYTHING open season as questions including the names of the head of SHP. Good luck.
  10. Used to be a couple in Columbus we'd play on when I was a kid with friends with fast cars. Dumb fun out at night running a clover leaf at 65 mph.

    Oh Deer

I stopped several cars from buzzing thru there explaining the situation to them after waving them down until the Fawn crossed to the field. The doe watched me from the weeds and despite appearances I wasn't that close to the fawn. It was a snap decision to stay and keep the fawn from being hit or the panicked doe.

    Oh Deer

I was up off 36 near Delaware. The first deer was saved from the front of a cruiser. You'll just have to see the next deer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSKfESe-J1s
  15. Shows you how often I'm out that way.
  16. I guess my view point comes from the fact I learned to ride off road as a kid so when I got back into motorcycles as an adult I already knew the basics and with five acres of field to practice in the KLR was right at home. When I finally took the MSF return rider class I had over 35,000 new miles under my belt. So it just reaffirmed the things I knew. In reality there were several things the MSF class taught which I questioned as really BAD on road in real life. A big one was the outside-inside-outside left sweeper turn method they taught. In real life this dangerous as your tires may still be in your lane but you head is in on coming traffic. In talking with the instructors afterwards they admitted the MSF DOES NOT make you a capable road rider. It DOES teach you the basics of how to ride. There is a difference. And I was also glad to hear the female instructor back up my view point that learning to ride off road first is a better way to become proficient as a rider than learning on the road. I hope this explains why I really thing new riders should have a dual sport bike first since it will allow them to ride off road first and then as they become better prepared to handle the controls, turn the bike, stop the bike and shift they can move onto the road ways.:dirtbike: The MSF is a good place to start but don't take it thinking you'll come away from it fully prepared.

  18. Numb nuts with loaded weapons is the reason I stay away from public ranges and shoot at home instead.
  19. I signed up with a friend for my ccw class. Seemed like it would be better with someone I knew than a bunch of strangers.
  20. This? lululemon athletica inc. Analyst, Paul Lejuez, said, "2Q guidance fell short of consensus, though we believe it is conservative (to some degree), there still seems to be a deceleration in comps. Part of the 2Q comp deceleration relates to LULU exceeding sales plans in 1Q and now having too few units to drive a higher comp in 2Q. Interestingly, mgmt has elected not to chase proven winners as they often do but rather focus on raising the quality and innovation on the next product set.
  21. Thanks to JPM I'm around +700. correction +980
  22. With school out you might be able to find a school parking lot to practice in. Maybe one of the elementary school lots hidden back in the neighborhood North of 42? Second thing is gear to learn in. Helmet, gloves, above the ankle boots, maybe even knee protection and a jacket with armored elbows, shoulders and back? Hate to see you have an opps off the bat that delays the learning till next year.
  23. A little FYI. The current Iron Pony used to be a Kmart that was closed down. So next time you visit a Kmart imagine it filled with MC gear, parts and motorcyles and ATVs. Ironically the addition of actual vehicles to the floor is a recent addition.
