  1. Cool, how much to spectate?

It use to be if you rode a streetbike in on the Sat night races they let you in for free, otherwise it's $10.00. I don't know if those same rules apply this year. I'm more familiar with the MX track at Western Reserve but I think the flat track is only 1/4 mile. The speeds run are much less then you would see at the 1/2 mile track in Canton.

  2. Thanks for the update on the location! Will you be there Saturday, fox racing guy? if so, stop by the Thunder Roads booth and ask for Aimee

Nope, I take the winters off from MX, not a fan of indoors at all, don't even watch SX.

  3. I barely ride street bikes these days but own over a dozen. I photograph many of the OMA events mostly at Beans bike park, Crow Canyon & MX 213. I also have access to Gary Semic's private MX track ( I shoot his instructional video's) and 2 other private MX/SX tracks.

If you ride quads the 2 most popular tracks for them that I can think of would be..

Briarcliff-  http://www.briarcliffmx.com/ They are holding a Quad national next year.

    Malvern- http://www.racemalvern.com/

  4. Here you go

    SONY STRDH540 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882105726

    Factory refurb for $175

I bought one of these in the spring for my bedroom. You do NOT have to turn on the receiver for auto HDMI switching, I don't need surround sound watching the news. All of my AV stuff is Sony ( TV, Blu-Ray, PS3, Satellite box ) and it integrates beautifully. All the HDMI components plug into back of the receiver and there is 1 HDMI cable between the receiver and TV.

  5. I think many of the problems people have with small 2-stroke lawn equipment is due to ethanol in gasoline today. I go to my local airport with my debit card and purchase 2 gallons of LL100. I use Klotz R50 2-stroke oil mixed very precisely at 50:1, use a ratio rite cup to make this easy. All of my lawn equipment is Husqvarna ( string trimmer, leaf blowers, chain saws, hedge trimmers & such) the oldest being my string trimmer at 17 years old. I've never once even had to take out the spark plug for cleaning and they all run top notch and start easily.

Hey I know this guy and that dog! hahah not sure if this is you but we have met down at Williams camp ground and done a little riding. I am the one with the red and white camper and the grey YFZ450 with the Elka shocks and lagger pro trax front end and steering stem.

Not me, I just took the photo. It was at Crow Canyon MX track at their one public  ( Track is private now) MX race this year. They are having a public GP race this coming weekend. If you know the guy send him a copy of the photo, if he would like a full size image I would be happy to send it to him.

  7. My condolences. There are company's that make headstones for pets and I had one made for my previous Giant Schnauzer. Not for everybody by my dogs are family.

  8.  you're telling me that the main brgs/crank dont need oil other than the bit thats in the fuel?

Yes, just like all 2 strokes and I currently own 8 ( 4 street, 4 MX) not 1 of them has engine oil in the engine, trans only. Same concept as a chainsaw, weed wacker, leaf blower ect...

  9. Uh.....crankcase IS the trans and bottom end :dunno:

Not so on a 99 KX 2-stroke. The trans oil never comes into contact with the engine internals. OK if the crank seals go bad oil can seep into the engine crankcase. Maybe they didn't put pre-mix into the gas tank and straight gassed it?

  10. I know a guy that bought a '99 KX250 from them about 5 years ago. Bike looked really good, but they "forgot" to fill the crankcase with oil so the main went quick on his test ride around their lot.

So how do you "forget" to fill the crankcase of a 2 stroke that takes NO motor oil   Trans oil maybe. Kawasaki didn't make a 250 four stroke till 2004 and it was actually a Suzuki  :)
