  1. I'm about 3 hours from Dayton, this group is located close to Newcomerstown (about 20 miles North of Cambridge) I have another nesting pair 1.5 miles from my house but I haven't been able to get any good captures lately.

Here is the full set on my Picasa page.

Look on the right side of the page for the map, a couple of my camera bodies have built in GPS and will show you the exact location I was standing when I took them.

  2. Nimisila? What is that, about a 20 min ride from Massillon? I would recommend someplace like the New River gorge area in WV. There are plenty of places to camp along RT 60 down there plus grocery stores near by.

If you want to stay in Ohio I can recommend Wolf Run state park in the SE. Great roads in the area and hot showers at the camp ground.

  3. Metric 1/4" and 3/8" socket sets

    Metric combination wrenches

    Quality screwdrivers

    Quality T-handle hex drivers

    Factory service manual

Any tool box will do' date=' but craftsman can be had for cheap around Father's Day

    Loc-Tite, blue and red

Quality torque wrenches. I have ~$1500 in torque wrenches, alone

Quality, dial type tire pressure gauge

    Quality front/rear stands

    That should get you started...[/quote']

This guy is a real mechanic, follow his advise and pay attention to the "Metric specification"

Some of those Craftsman tool sets linked by others contain many SAE pieces, those will be pretty much worthless today. I also own a 67 Ford F100 and that is the only reason for me to keep my SAE tools. Even more worthless is my BS ( british standard) tool collection but I still know to many geezers that own old british shit boxes that require these.

Sockets I prefer 6 points, less chance of stripping stuff.

Torque wrenches are all Snap-On and are calibrated yearly.

Screwdrivers, look for JIS types like these http://www.ikaswebshop.com/jisphilips.html

trust me, it makes a difference.

  4. If anyone is looking to buy a propane heater or tanks I have some I no longer use. I have a 35,000 BTU unit and a adjustable 65, 85, 100,000 BTU unit, a 100lb and 2 40lb propane tanks.

    DSC00009_zpsdcfd409a.jpg

    35,000 BTU heater $50

    65, 85. 100,000 BTU unit $80

    100lb propane tank $80

    40lb propane tanks $50 each

The 35,000 BTU unit is great for a single car garage and is pretty quiet. The 100,000 BTU unit is freaking LOUD and ROARS.

  5. Nice Cannondale. I've still got a Cannondale criterium road bike that I bought new in 1989. It's been refurbed with Dura-Ace components & new paint & I'm not planning on getting rid of it anytime soon.

I think mine is the same vintage, still old school Campagnolo Record and tubular tires.

  6. Timing belt right out of the gate if it hasn't JUST been done.

I take it you haven't lifted the hood on a 2006+ Civic? They no longer have timing belts, they use chains now.

The reliability of my previous 2002 model was outstanding, going on memory..

3 alternators in the 280,000+ miles.

    2 replacement batteries.

    Wheel bearings at 185,000 miles.

good tires ( Michelin) would go around 85,000 miles.

    Brakes 65-75,000 miles

After 280,000 + miles it still never burned oil with 5,000 mile changes.

I did do the timing belt, water pump deal every 100,000 miles.

I hope my 2012 Civic delivers the same reliability.
