it s so easy to cite engines that were turboed from the factory though

 

i m more impressed with gas engines that were never factory turbo...BMW's M10 engine though was a special case....it never saw a factrory turbo but when BMW used 60,000mile-old street car blocks for turbo...they were making in excess of 1000whp with that 1.5L engine in Formula1 in the 1980s..but the head was welded to the block and boosted to well over 70psi
