  1. There is certainly good money in plowing snow. Expessially commercial. I plow for local gov, but in talking to the pickup truck plows when I am out, they really rake it in if they play there cards right! Bump for a fellow plow driver!
  2. I'm not sure if its an issue on the speedys, but in the sprints, triumph messed up and didn't coat the pistons, and brake dust builds up on them bad, and loose feel. I pull off my front calipers and clean it up with brake parts cleaner and its good to go again. Perhaps yours are filled with brake dust and crap, and getting stuck?
  3. interesting. What would you charge to do a two tone, such as has been done in the photoshops?
  4. My boss has a 1991 honda civic 4 door auto, The good prestine interior, runs and drives good 180k reliable doesn't use oil Its a honda. The bad Small dent from being backed into key sticks in ignition when its cold out A/C needs a new condenser fan, and would work then.
  5. Well, some of the harley crowd doesn't frown on them. The older ones who have ridden for years, know whats going on. But the new office working suit and tie, " I bought a harley cuz its cool crowd" frowns on anything thats not a harley.
  6. just plinking around. nothing spectacular. Ive been looking at the savage 64, and the ruger. I just thought perhaps someone may have something used and alil cheaper.
  7. and for some reason that style of motorcycle doesnt sell well in the united states. I have no idea, as I personally love it, but it just doesn't seem to catch on.
  8. those are neat sites, thank you. Indeed, your correct on that. Expessially an individiual bringing you a gun, knowing you have cash.
  9. ^ thats really neat, but I am looking for something more along the lines of a 10-22.
  10. I can't say I have ever taken any of this into thought but I agree 100%. I also agree on feeling rushed at the range. Expessially like vandelia armory, when your paying by the 1/2 hour. I have sinced joined the local vfw and can go shoot all day and have 0 rushing.
  11. someone better get there ass beat. I agree with Mj.
  12. my commute is 4 miles. Typically its jeans, steel toed boots, perferated leather jacket, helmet and gloves. Once it gets cold I trade the leather jacket in for my carhart jacket.
  13. I love the gladius also. I was set to buy one when I found my triumph.
  14. Anyone have a .22 rifle they would like to get rid of?
  15. perhaps I like my s&w? Why don't you stay out of the thread if you don't have anything good to add... Just my three cents.
  16. for most that is the case, unless you want to get into the trailbraking argument.
  17. -1 up front wont hurt anything. I wouldn't go much more than that though.
  18. the closest track to me says anything trapping over 120 ( its a 1/4 mile track) needs full leathers.
  19. i suppose if called to the occasion and you don't have a gun, thats better than curling into a ball and waiting to be eaten!
  20. my triumph has 26k on it. Its left me stranded one time. My clutch cable broke. It was my fault, as the cable was rubbing the adjustment barrel, and I said oh it will be fine. Parts as don stated are no different than jap bikes. Actually I have found more support online for my triumph than I ever did for my cbr. triumphrat.net is wonderful. There are many triumph employees plus folks who have ridden 100s of thousands of miles upon a triumph and are more than willing to help. Bikebandit.com has parts, as well as many others. For oil and a filter. Mobile one 4t with a napa gold filter. 45 dollar oil change, and triumph recomends an oil change every 6k.
  21. I've wanted to run my sprint just for shits and giggles, but supposidly to get through tech here, you have to have a teather kill switch, and I don't wanna drop the money for somthing im going to use once.
  22. since i love to picture whore my bike.. heres a good deal http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/mcy/1848186761.html heres a 2006 http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/1885468377.html another 2000--price is alil high http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/1890267894.html
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dx4F94DnATY yut ugggh! In all reality I have nothing to add to this thread, nothing against wheelies, I just thought that video makes for a good chuckle!
  24. well, I am slightly biased, but I will toss a triumph sprint ST out there. I love mine. great usable power, handles well, very comfy for the 500+ mile days, and so far mines been very reliable.
