  2. at this point, i just use it to maintain! So far today ive only consumed 8 oz of coffee and 8 oz of black tea, with no headache thus far.By monday I plan to have 4 oz of coffee and thats it.
  3. I cut soda out almost a year ago. Coffee has been my crutch. In the said last year, i have gone from 217 to 162. (working towards 160). I won't say cutting soda did that all 100% on its town, but its certainly contributed.
  4. I don't do much mountain bike riding, due to the lack of trails in my area, but my roadie is another story. ^ Reach is pretty important on the road, due to the amount of time you spend in the seat. I prefer my road bikes to be alittle shorter. I feel I have more leverage on long climbs. this is a little 21 miler i did not too long ago. When I'm not on the roadie, my other ride is my 20 inch. ( I also have a cruiser, 24 inch bmx)
  5. its not by choice. Its causing me trouble due to the acid, and caffeine making the muscle tissue soft where your esophagus connects to your stomach. I've been on prilosec for awhile, and its just not making the cut anymore.
  6. So with my taking better care of myself, i have decided it is time to make mention of my caffeine addiction. My normal day goes like this. 20-30 oz of coffee within an hour of being awake. lunchtime an additional 20 oz of coffee Dinner time Ice Tea, and if not ice tea, I will proceed to have 2-4 cups of coffee ( 8 oz) depending how the days been. This has really started to take a toll on me. anxiety, loss of sleep, stomach issues due to the acidity of said coffee. Has anyone here kicked a caffeine habit? What did you do to control withdraw?
  7. Ash cave is rad, as is old man's cave.I used to go do the annual winter hike. If its still marked off, its great.
  8. bump, are there any race forums I can check?
  9. i had some wonderful brisket last night with hellmutt and snot and my wife.... and i didnt spend anytime in the smoke.. company 7 bbq englewood ohio.. On a side note, Porter , your brisket looks good to me, but if it was tough, you didn't let the fat break down all the way. I think you need to hit 185ish. Another thing is that I have found the resting time is crucial. Wrap it in foil, nice and tight and let her rest for awhile.( my big pork shoulders normally rest 2-3 hours before pulling). I haven't perfected the art of brisket yet, so I don't have much advice other than that.
