  1. Isn't it great!? Here's what I do for a thermometer, just a digi thru the back vent . Works great.
  2. Chickens slightly different. I try to do chicken around 275-300. If you slow cook it too long i was told that it will begin to get bad bacteria which can lead to food poisoning.
  3. The gytr pipe is nasty at idle, and just doesn't have a clean tone. I want something with a nice deep tone. I loved my Leo vince , but it was high mount, and I've had 0 luck finding a standard mount.
  4. After they changed everything, I said hell with wendys. That shits clearln y not daves way. The old style single was my favorite, and now you get some fat thick nasty grease ball on a dried out butter bun. Also, the wendys by lafiesta is typically better.
  5. I have the yamaha gyt-r slip on on the fz, and for being an o.e part, it really sounds bad imo. It puts me in the mindset of an old kz with a mac header and muffler.I want something just over stock. Any suggestions?
  6. No I was meaning how much time did you actually spend on the track riding?
  7. Triumph used to do a similar thing, brake dust would build up on the pistons, and I had to get in there and clean the pistons with brake parts cleaner.
  8. I would source a new used swing arm myself.
  9. ^ great shot!! I couldn't imagine riding without leathers.
  10. For poultry I really like apple, and if you want a sweet but dominant smoke flavor , mix in some hickory. For chicken, and turkey, its better to run your temps around 300. From what I have read, slow and low on poultry can be too slow and cause food born illnesses.
  11. I have a small 2 burner gas and its hard to keep the temps below 300. A bigger 3 burner can work very well when set up for indirect heat. If you want to get into a very cheap smoker look up a brinkmann smoker, they had them at home depot for 34.99. I have a small square smoker box that i set directly on the gas burner and use soaked chips. It smokes very well. I just use it for burgers and such . As far as the amount of smoke, alittle smoke goes a long way. The ideal smoke is a light blue almost unoticable. I have found bbq-brethren.com to be a very helpful forum.
  12. I'm not sure. It was very well marbled. It was a total whim, at sams last night. I'm running up to sidney this week.
  13. Sams club of all places, for 1.86 a lb! I'm going to go talk with uncle this week. I want to try his pulled pork, and if its good, I'm going to get a bunch for our rehersal dinner cook out.
  14. Where did you put the smoker box? Gas grill? Here's my pulled pork
  15. very cool! I am looking forward to doing my first track day soon. How much time did you spend on the bike?
  16. Heres my next bbq adventure. 12 lbs of pork shoulder...
  17. I'll tradem my crotch rocket!!! Check out the pics from my ride last week...
