  1. My sigma 9 has a slight gap as well, and I have put about 700 rounds through it. I can attest, on the size! She had to lower a ninja 250! =)
  2. I got this from another forum. You've probably seen the video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbTZkZTYkaM here: http://yamahafz1oa.com/forum/showthr...ghlight=Pickup He plead guilty to 2 counts of Wanton Endangerment (1-5 year sentence per charge). 1 count of menacing (up to 90 days) and 1 count of reckless driving (fine). His sentencing is scheduled for 12/15/2011 and the previous plea offer (which was rejected and I'm having trouble finding the one that was accepted) had these conditions: Ct1 (WE)2yrs imprisonment Ct2 (WE) 2yrs imprisonment Ct3 (Menacing)90 days incarceration Ct4 (Reckless Driving) $100 fine I would hope that the one that was plead to was similar, which means he will probably be getting some jail time. http://apps.courts.ky.gov/courtrecords/Results.aspx COMMONWEALTH VS. HUDSON, GARYL JR Scheduled Events SENTENCING 12/15/2011 01:00 PM 1 Edit: I just found that he has been in custody since his arrest in June. He did not post bail: Offender ID: 204599 Date of Birth: 01/07/1983 Age: 28 Race: White Gender: Male Custody Status: In Custody Location of Offender: Marion Adjustment Center
  3. I hope the motorcycle plates look like that. Maybe ill get a new plate then!
  4. I believe i saw that on craigslist while I was looking for a different bike as well.
  5. These came on my fz1, and wanted a slightly more relaxed riding position. They are the polished aluminum bars. I put them next to the yamaha titanium bars to give an idea of the bends. Make me an offer

tim is correct. The german people were very desperate, and he was very good with words.

  8. are the bridgestone touring tires worth driving from troy to get?
  9. sniper, I have never ridden an fz1 in stock form, but with the ivans mods, i can say that the carburetion that bike is spot on. I don't even have to use the choke unless its low in the 40s. As i said before the throttle transition is 100% smoother than the sprint. I argued with myself time and time again, on even doing the swap due to the carbs, but I don't regret it one bit.
  10. Tuesday doesn't work man, we have to do stuff for my sisters birthday. hopefully later in the week. Well, hell, what are you doing tomorrow? I plan on riding a bit tomorrow, and will be heading toward piqua anyways so i can hit Landman mill and demming and the old river road
  11. good lookin fz you got!
  12. well roxy, first off, id like to ask if your the same roxynoodle as over on triumphrat.net? As of now, here is what I like about the fz1 over the sprint. the maintenance schedule has alot longer intervals. It has a more upright "standard" riding position, and my sprint had heli bars on it, maxed out as high as I could go without compromising my turning radius. After a full tank of fuel, i was ready to go see the chiropractor. I don't see how some guys tour on 600rr's and other supersports. The suspension is amazing on the fz. Granted none of its stock. The brakes are equally as amazing, once again, aftermarket. I actually like the carbs better than the triumph fuel injection. Its alot smoother on the roll on. on/off feel I felt i had with the sprint is non existent on the yamaha. I also like the seat high being lower, and the center of gravity being lower. I am short, and stubborn. I refuse to lower a bike, unless its of the cruising nature. I can handle the fz much better in stop and go, and in parking lots, and anything that requires slow speed maneuverability. It also has considerably more power than the sprint, but for my style of riding, i find it much more usable. I am mellow 90% of the time. 10% of the time the 16 year old kid comes out in me. I always found myself speeding on the sprint, where as with the fz, it doesn't wake up untill 7-7500. You have to make it go fast if you want too. This really isn't a big deal here, but i like the fact that there are yamaha dealers everywhere. If im on a road trip, and need a part, chances are I am going to be able to locate it, reasonably. Chances are with the triumph is that i could end up being 5-600 miles from the nearest dealer. I could go on some more, but thats what I can tell you thus far. I can do a full review on the fz1 after I rack up some miles on it. Thus far I have only put about 200 miles on it, and those are my initial thoughts. If you are the same noodle from triumphrat, i haven't informed those guys yet. I plan on doing an indepth comparison of the two bikes to post there. I figure having some logic behind my decision will help ease there pain.
  13. I ended up getting a different pair of yamaha bars(stock fz6), that looks very similar to the renthal road low bars, and the heavy stock yamaha bar ends threaded right in!
  14. that would look great in my garage, and also require me to not paint a wall in the garage. I will even post pictures of it once its up!
  15. The fz8's real tall. I sat on one the other day down at joes, and was really surprised. Thus far i love the fz1. If the weather straightens up here before the snow flys we will have to take a ride I know all about the backing up issue, if im on anything but a smooth parking lot, I can't back the sprint or the fz up. I have to get off and walk it backwards, So i just always make sure I park in a spot I don't have to back out of
  16. I am glad. The sprint was a gorgeous motorcycle, and in pristine condition. The fz isn't as pristine BUT! it does what I wanted to do, much better than the sprint.I am working on the few small cosmetic issues with the fz now, which is just a few small scratches. My fuel mileage suffers on the FZ but its got quite a bit more power than the sprint did also. Its only a 45 CC difference between the two bikes, but they are tuned totally different.
