  1. If it is more then just the CPR class, maybe a bit of basic first responder class, I would be interested. The only issue I would have is it would depend on the date.

I would not mind the drive to Columbus or zanesville to attend a class with some of other people on this board, but for the basic CPR class, I could attend that locally.

    That it will not be.

CPR class is 2-4 hours depending on class size

CPR/First Aid turns it to a 6-8 hr class

First Responder is actually a nationally recognized certification and is a 40hr course taught over a couple weeks and costs a couple hundred

  2. Now... Back on topic. Shotgun vs revolver for home defense. Shotgun better, even in this scenario?

PS, do u still have that S&W 9 at the shop?

    Nobama 2012

    Shotgun always better for home

Shotgun far better than revolver for shaky and slower elderly

Do not know on the SW you would have to call and ask. I have not been there for a couple days but my guess is no at that price and the way stuff has been selling. I will be by there tomorrow though

  3. I disagree with 90% of what Magz says.

I however agree with him here, to a point. Do I find it offensive, no. Do I think it's wrong and and immature and somewhat moronic, yes.

It is a distress signal, NOT a political statement. Show a little respect for our service members that fight for that flag and know when to fly it upside down.

  4. Before you go to all the effort you should probably find out if enough people are coming to be worth your efforts. Several of us are going to the Indy show instead and a few others said last year they were not coming back. And several dropped out and didn't even come last year that are also done.

  5. Ok, just need a head count first to see what the options will be. If its a small number I can blend it in to one of the FD classes and probably make it free. It would be in Zanesville though. If its a larger number that would fill a class and you can find a place in Cbus to do it I can probably get one of the instructors to come with me one eve and do it for a small fee. Class is a couple hours

  6. I'd remove the quick clot and pain killers as both are not very effective and add some Saran Wrap or other cling type food wrap.

Direct pressure is better for bleeding than quick clot

Pain killers usually do not touch the pain from a good injury and are not effective until 30 mins or so and by that time you should be in a squad

The cling wrap is excellent for open wounds and especially a chest wound that may have punctured a lung. Cling wrap is excellent for covering road rash too until proper cleaning and treatment can be had

  7. You should specify. I would assume by your screen name that you are opening a trailer shop and looking for a trailer and hitch instal type person.

But you could also be looking for a motorcycle tech, auto tech, diesel tech, Atv tech, watercraft ect. So if your ads to schools, papers ect are as vauge as this thread here that would explain why no luck.

How about adding what exactly you are opening and what exactly you are looking for in an employee. Then add where the shop will be, hours, expected pay range, benefits ect and you will probably find someone. There are a wide variety of people here and many that could use a job.
