I'd hate to see you get left behind as it's been awhile since you've been around. Last season there were two separate occasions when peeps tried to meet up on the route and neither worked, hard to predict time when theres 20-30 bikes involved.

Since I have around 20 posts, I can freely speak for the majority of riders here on this forum. Firstly, that Cafe' racer is a nice bike, but we tend to steer our interest more towards Dual Sport Bikes.

Don't you just switch gas on the mig and polarity maybe. I gotta Hobart 220v and all the wire just never needed to weld anything aluminum yet.

Have to use a spool gun. Alum wire is not rigid enough to be pushed through the typical 10' lead on a mig.

Look them over very carefully... dryrot, cracks ect. I know you were in a pinch and short on cash but judgeing from the picts those tires dont look very good and an 05 code would make me iffy. I think tires are supposed to have a max life of 6 years if stored properly but I'm not sure.

If you put them on, and I'm sure you will. Take it easy the first few rides and look them over carefully afterwards.

Anything is removable if you want it bad enough.

Yea thats the only way I've tried is putting the spool gun on my mig. I dont have a tig and have never used one, just mig and stick.

Its tough going from steel to alum. Have to move much faster, adj to the differences of the spool gun, dont have the easy signs of heat transfer to go by. I've tried several times and have to admit I'm not good at all with alum.

Yep, thats exactly what I was thinking. I sent him a message earlier to call me when he's by the tires so I can tell him how to check that. We shall see.

I think what they ment by outdated was the date they were made. Probally some pretty old tires, what the date code on the tires?

That price is not to high all these guys comparing that to new prices are not comparing the same thing ...... If its got the bayonet lug on it as you said then its a preban rifle that means more desirable and a milled receiver instead of a stamped receiver. Couple that with the mags and ammo yes its worth 750. And to all talking about the shooting of them, I doubt they've shot a quality AK. A good AK is far better than an SKS and is very accurate. I'll put mine up against an AR any day its more accurate more reliable and has more knock down power and the accessories are not overpriced with the "AR tax". Now thats mine though and I don't have one of those $300 brand new ones. Many here have seen and shot mine and will attest to this. PM me some more details or pics Rick and I'll give you more info.
