I built mine. You can get stuff for cheaper buying it already done but chances are they are beat to shit. I wanted to know the history on mine so I decided to start from scratch.

What kind of stand do you use to swap a rear shock?

I have always used jackstands on the rearsets but I don't have stock ones. If you do, I would do it the way howabusa said. -

I usually park at a church a few blocks away, they just ask for a donation. Never over fill the lot and can get out at any time. I can shoot you the address when I get home.
