  1. Anyone else have any suggestions, I was looking at the steps for pulling the ignition and now I really don't want to. I just wanna ride!!!!

    Call Ohio Motorcycle

3747 Park Mill Run Drive, Hilliard, OH(614) 334-3198 They have the plain metal keys and you can order the factory keys with the plastic.

  2. I put an override on my FJR1300. Used a relay that fed the fan directly. If you're going to use the factory fan relay, you should put a diode on the signal wire coming from the ECU. You don't want to send battery power back through that.

Running the fan takes a ton of juice. You're going to be using it in traffic when your generator isn't making any current. The bike gives fan when it needs it. You don't need any more. I never used mine.

  3. I like the Sena SMH-10. have used them for several years and could even communicate at over 100 mph in full coverage helmets. they are bluetooth enabled so you can connect to phone, music, gps, etc. waterproof/stormproof and last all day. easy to use and can connect up to 4 units for intercom. we used them on a 4,000 mi. trip and we use them around town.

^and unbelievably easy to use. Read the reviews:)

  4. No, she's right! Think about it! At 80 miles per hour your tires are going so fast that based on their circumference, there's no way in hell that they could travel that far in an hour so you cut it about in half. It's a compromise so you can be fair to both large and small tires. Simple!

  5. I had a bat fly right into my chest once. Seen it the whole way. It was like a drunken guided missle. After it hit i looked down and it was on my leg on its back still alive. Needless to say i freaked like a little girl trying to swat it off my leg.

Same exact thing happened to me...including the reaction, I was on a bicycle, though.

  6. I forgot to mention that it the throttle side. The reason I'm switching it is its bent and if I pull the passed 3/4 it sticks. I may need a new throttle tube but I'm hoping not.

Still very easy. The throttle tube is nylon so it's tough - it may have taken a set, though.

Have you though about getting some aftermarket bodywork for it? It's just unfortunate that the radiators are on the sides.

  7. Unfortunately it's a wrap-around clip-on so you have pull the tree top. Use a screw driver to help spread the band when you slide the old bar off. The top nut on the tree of mine is 41mm. Don't worry about aligning the bar, there's a guide tab that helps you position it at the right angle.

The switch-gear is simple - there are pins on the parts and holes in the bar so you get it perfect every time. Just don't spill out all you clutch fluid:(

  8. If it was $25, I could see them flying off the shelves. $250? Not so much.

Plus, since it's not spill resistant in any way, by the time you get done pretending you're all tactical you have no coffee left. Only a complete idi

  9. ooooooooooh yeah!!!! there she is :) like i said, im so elated to have found a bike that suits me in every way. thank you for posting :bow:hue jass!! i work so much i really dont have to time to peak on the board 'cept nightime and occasional mornings.

You know you're going to have to find time for at least a few rides this season! Have you taken it out at all yet?
