  1. That was me. Hate the damn car but love the Rusty Bucket. Do me a favor and the next time you see it, take a hammer to a fender so I can make a little insurance money to buy a new helmet.;)

Disclaimer - This is a parody. Not to be taken seriously. Do not attempt any of these stunts.

That Lambo looks so low you could just reach over it to open the passenger door!

  2. I don't know, I think the biggest problem may be the rust coming through from the back. I think there's also a metal retainer strip in the upper cover that can stream surface rust onto the bumper.

Before I replaced my front, I went around asking about re-chroming. That's all it really needed. Prohibitively expensive.

For $200 I figured it was worth it. Just went out and looked close at it - it sits outside all the time - no rust anywhere, looks nice and classy.:)

Just use a cotton cloth and chrome polish before you put it on and do that once a year.

  3. Do you remember what brand it was?

Sorry so late. The seller is martinsautoparts on eBay. Type martin auto parts in the search and you'll get their stuff. I didn't look to see if they had one for your truck - probably do. They're in London, KY so the parts ship fast. The price I paid was $195 total shipped (for a chrome front bumper).

Here's how good they are. When I ordered and got my rear step bumper, there was a little plastic push clip missing from the lower right corner. All I needed was the stupid clip but they sent me an entire other bumper! I had to struggle with them to get an RA for the original one. It was like they didn't even care if they got it back. Good customer service, and the bumper is still perfect and it's been on the truck since January of '08!

  4. I walked in and took a number right before they got killed. I found what I needed out on the floor so my number was up for grabs. I swear someone would've paid me for it. I gave it to he guy with the impatient son.

I did have to return a scope mount there once - had to see a counter person who had to get a manager's approval but it only took a couple mins.

  5. The Fleabay has them for $155 shipped, but i dont want a POS that will be rusty next year and I cant seem to find any good ones from a junkyard for anything less than a new one.

When I bought my Silverado it had a cheap-ass bumper on it that I couldn't keep from rusting. I picked one up on eBay and no rust. It's been 3 1/2 years. There are no pick-up truck parts at junkyards - far as I could look. The stock part is very expensive. I bought a new rear one, too. No rust. Just use chrome polish on it a couple times a year. 2¢:)
