BUCYRUS -- A Bucyrus man was found dead at the scene of a motorcycle accident southeast of the city Tuesday morning.

Roy Staats, 42, who lives near the accident site on New Winchester Center Road, was found in a field on Winchester Road West, south of Monnett-Chapel Road, about 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Crawford County Sheriff's Maj. Mike Castor said he was not certain what time the accident occurred, saying it "happened sometime either (Monday) night or this morning, when we got t he call."

According to a sheriff's report, Staats was southbound on Winchester Road West when he lost control of his motorcycle and went off the east side of the road.

Castor said the motorcycle hit a bean field and Staats was thrown off as the bike rolled.

County Coroner Michael Johnson pronounced Staats dead at the scene.

Investigators are awaiting autopsy results from the Lucas County Coroner's Office.

  2. i have no idea what the difference is haha
Rooting your phone means giving yourself root, or superuser (think...admin) access, giving you access to system files and the ability to change things that normally are marked read only

This allows you to change all kinds of things that normally you wouldn't be able to, along with install custom versions of Android.

    http://forum.androidcentral.com/hacking/4654-what-does-rooting-your-phone-actually-mean.html

A custom ROM is a fully standalone version of the OS, including the kernel (which makes everything run), apps, services, etc – everything you need to operate the device, except it’s customized by someone in some way.

So what does the "customized" part mean? Since Android is open source, developers are free to take stock ROMs, modify them, strip them of garbage, optimize them, add things, and pretty much do whatever their imagination and skills allow.

  3. You can also get the update.zip file and instructions from this site:

    A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

ATTENTION: Motorola and Verizon have found issue with this OTA update and it is rumored that there will be another next week. For those who have already installed this, don't freak out, you will be able to install the new update right over this one. For those who have not already installed this, it's probably best to wait until next week. Stay tuned for more information..

This may be why some people are not receiving the OTA update.

  4. I'm in the same boat. I've been looking for an entry-level IT job for quite a while now. Nearly every job listing that I find requires at least a year or two worth of experience. It seems like the only way to get your foot in the door is to know someone that can help you get in.

  5. I finally got my invite for Google Voice today :D . I thought it was kind of funny that I was asking about this yesterday and then I get the email today. Did anyone else have trouble finding a local number when setting up their account?
