Legally? Lots and lots and lots of $$$$$$
You're better off buying the base American version of the car (Holden Monaro = Pontiac GTO, Holden Commodore VXR8 = G8 GXP) and then getting the specific Holden parts imported over here. You can buy the brake kits, hoods, wheels, engine mods, etc as long as you have the cash.
what he said - since it's not an american production model (and right hand drive) you'd have to get it crash tested for insurance purposes.
i've seen a couple monaro front ends on GTO's and i like them. much more aggressive.

G8 Gts are sick
you know what makes me mad about G8s? I'm going to tell you 'cause it's the internet and I can:
you can ONLY get a manual on the GXP, but they have manuals in Australia in all the cars that share the chasis.
I really like the G8, but dont want the (what was) the 40K version. a G8 GT manual would have been perfect.

HSV series holdens are sick.
actually the Ford Falcon down there has a pretty sick model as well. one of the things i loved about being in sydney was seeing these awesome V8 UTEs, and Sport sedans all over the place. (with the ocasional m3, GTR, and supra)

ack, seen one of those, but don't know if it's the same infection.
Open the browser, and add an "S" to the address that won't open.
So it says https instead of http.
If it works, get to another computer, and download Malwarebytes.
Get that copied onto the bad computer, and install it.
It should be currently updated already.
Scan and fix and see if it works after that.
Note: The MajorGeeks download is an OK website. That's where the download is now located.
Majorgeeks is good,
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php points to CNET though.
If you did a destructive reinstall I dont think those scareware (vundo) viruses will survive.
you can install malwarebytes to another computer copy the directory to a flash drive and run it from there, if i'm not mistaken.
good luck.

i'm really excited about the electric sportbike. racing brings inovation. right now it only has a 39 mile range, but give them a few years to inovate and I'm confident we'll eventually see 100-110. at that point it'll be close to an gas motorcycle.
I also think we'll see electric bikes like this way before cars.

couple things to try:
I assume this is a vista machine
click the start menu -> type CMD in the search and hit enter
type "ipconfig" no quotes
if you get something like this your NIC is installed:
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : yourdns.net
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.127
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.254 -
I would LOVE to have that 848 Dark. not only am I a sucker for the 848, but $1000 off AND a sick color? delicious

So my wife was downloading music last month, and then all of a sudden the comp took a major shit.
Long story short, we got a virus (or at least I think), and it stopped any programs from opening. Like it infected the .exe files.
I did a destructive recovery, reinstalled Norton 09, and thought all would be well. I was wrong. Internet still doesn't work.
Anyone here work on comps on the side and able to take a look at the comp for me? I would be happy to compensate you, I just don't want to pay retail. I'm an unemployed Jew.
I may be able to help you out.
so when you say "the internet doesnt work" what do you mean?
you can IM me on AIM X1oft.
***edit*** or you can PM me or Post here... doesnt matter to me.

Got my bike June 09, got a little over 1500 miles on it. Can't wait for the new season to start for riding again. Planning on getting more miles on the bike this year then last.
thats about when i picked up my bike and put about 2200 miles on it. I think i put a few hundred on my previous before i sold it this summer as well.
that's more than i've put on in any season so far I think.
can't wait till next season though. 10 more weeks!

Gray. i think it'll accent well with the gray RSV, and gray above the headlights and tail sections.
Actually i'm seriously considering that jacket myself.

White, maybe with a bit of pearl to it, but not neccessary. I love solid white bikes where the frame, wheels, etc give it heavy contrast.

This is the only place on line I know of to check a VIN for stolen. (for free).
It's an Insurance Group website.
Somebody posted it last year. But that link is broken.
This is the current link:
If you suspect a VIN is coming up stolen, you'll need to make a report . (Preferably a written disposition.) With the report, the PD can then act upon the evidence.
Can't you do that at the BMV as well? i'm to lazy to try to navigate the ohio bmv site to find the link, but i'd bet thaey would know.

I've always just transfered my plates from vehicle to vehicle. My car's plates have been on 4 cars since 2001, and my bike plates have been on both my bikes.
looks like i'll be doing the same for my bike.

So I just remembered that my lego robot kit can be controlled by bluetooth. I didn't have a BT phone when I got it so it had slipped my mind.
I need some ideas as to what to build for my desk at work. So, alas, a beer opener won't be quite appropriate.
A robot that pushes keys on yoru keyboard so you can nap but still sound like you're typing. ftw
-
That's absolutely horrible.
so did the passenger recover?
-
I have a little Lego bulldozer on my desk that I like to rebuild into new stuff during really boring conference calls. Good stuff.
that's an awesome idea.

I would guess that there are too many lawyers, half make nothing. And doctors pay such high insurance, anyone else makes more.
Times change...
I think that article was more of a what is the top paying undergrad degrees. lawers, doctors, pharmacists, masters in engineering etc wouldn't be included.
-
saw this article and thought about this thread. interesting how almost all of the top 15 highest paying degrees are in engineering except comp sci at #5 and actuarial science at #12 (wtf is that?)

1000 a year on a ninja 250? are you shitting me? does he have like 47 DUIs or something?
when i got my first bike (gs500F) I quoted a new bike vs a two year old bike and hte cost difference was rediculous. ~380 a year for new vs <100 for 2 year old bike.
was he only quoting a new one?

oh mmm gee! I've been wanting to do this for a while, but I think the last one I looked up was in Cali
I'd have to look up the full algorithm again, but I thought it was regionalized (using start position or something). still, it could be difficult when its in the middle of a field 5 miles east of the highway or something.
-
everyone is an internet badass, we don't have stand face to face and talk! lol
so I take it you are well versed in xkcd comics?
Of course, anyone every ride their bike to a geohash event? could be interesting.
You know you're from Ohio...

Goetta is amazing, but if you won't try it - just more for me. I too asked for it in Seattle once, so i'm familiar with that look.
wait... it's not?
