  1. Well, I picked up the new addition just a little bit ago. I went with the S&W BODYGUARD 380. I was set on the Ruger before I got there but after comparing the side-by-side I loved the feel and look of the S&W. Bought a pocket holster as well as some Hornady Critical Defense ammo. I could not pass up the sale either on this gun. It's original price is listed at $499 and it was on sale for $349...

    Here she is...

  2. Well seeing how this thread has done a 180. I've done some more research on the Hi-Point and looks like I'll give them a try, its my first gun and I don't plan on using it that much. So spending hundreds on a first gun for me sounds kinda foolish. I will upgrade to a "better" gun as most of you claim. For the time being I'll see for myself with this gun. Plus with a warranty that I hope to not have to use its a plus just to have.

I think it's a good decision... It will help you learn more about guns and get use to them with this one. I bought it for my first and has done great for me. I don't use it much at all so that was my reason for buying it. I am actually going right now to get a new one. One for carry but I'll still have the 9mm for home use if needed.

  3. Before I take off to pick one of these guns up, I have a quick question.

I was planning on going to a basketball game at a public school and I know you are not allowed guns in the school, but if it is in the case not loaded in the car, can it be on the grounds?

  4. Isn't it under new ownership though within the last few years? If the new owner wants to fix issues, then eventually it could be a great gun at the low cost. Just need to work out the kinks... I think the one thing really bad about them is the tear down. It is a complex thing to do.

  5. I've been reading reviews and a lot of people think the LCP is more accurate. I know that either one will be great, but just not sure. I was looking at the Crimson Trace lasers and they are very pricey too. Just throwing that in there. I do like their method of the button though.

  6. Well, I figured I would throw this out there. I am looking for another gun, and thought I'd see your thoughts. I want a 380 I can carry. I know a 380 is not much but I think I would feel more comfortable carrying a small frame gun. I almost bought a Ruger LCP last week but felt like I needed to look around. So, I was just looking and Vances has the new S&W Bodyguard. It it small in size and has an integrated laser. It is on sale for the same price as the Ruger LCP, $350... The Bodyguard is origianlly priced at $499, I believe. I am at a loss right now.

  7. It is too bulky to carry. I will agree with that. I tried the other day and ended up taking it out because it was uncomfortable. For your first gun, and you just want something, and you do not have a lot to spend, then yes, go for it.

  8. Glad he blasted 'ya'll' with 38? You a heat fan? Are you from Miami? Cuz it looks like you're in Circleville. You obviously aren't a Cleveland sports fan and I definitely don't know any Cavs fans that are converting to heat fans because we have a thing called loyalty. Which you, being the obvious frontrunner that you are, would not know anything about. Sometimes it's better to keep your mouth shut. You sound less ignorant that way.

Maybe you should take your own advice, because I am from Miami, Thanks buddy.... Only here for school, so if I wasn't, I wouldn't be in Ohio. Nothing against the state, just not what I'm use to, sorry. Trust me, I feel bad for how Lebron did his "decision", but get over it. If he went to another team, I would still be a Heat fan.

  9. Yes, I have one and it's a good gun, but I think it just depends. I'm not going to say it's a great gun, but for the price, not bad. It has lifetime warrenty and they are made in Mansfield, OH. Most people on here will probably blast 'em and say they are cheap, but I have put 200 rounds through it and it hasn't jammed yet.

  10. LET'S GO!!!! I'm glad he blasted ya'll with 38... I was hoping for a triple double! As I watched part of it, and saw the Cleveland fans quiet, it was great! I have nothing against the Cav's. I actually think some fans are either becoming Heat fans, or realizing this is really silly to be ticked about what he does.... I do hope the Heat start to gel more or it's going to be a long year.

  11. Well, yes I was to a certain degree, but I do not want to have any issues while I'm there. I know about Georgia, so I plan to just unload it and lock it up. I have a sweet app that has all the states on it for conceal carry. It has the laws, reciprocity for all the states, but we all know how "clear" the laws are.

    BTW, thanks for the help....

  12. I use to lift back in Florida, cheaper gyms. I tried to lift to cut the fat and build the muscle. I stopped cause of getting married and moving. I started swimming at the Y last year but stopped when I started lifting again. I love working out. I played two years of college baseball and we worked out and ran everyday. Running, not so much fun, but lifting, LOVE IT! I took V12 (Sans) back in the day, but trying to go natural from now on. Just eating healthier now, and doing a few things in the house, since I watch the kid and have no money or time for a gym at this point. There is a gym at work, but it's the time that I need to find to get there...LOL! I also use to see a nutritionist and learned A LOT. Trying to cut the crap is the hardest, especially this time of year.
