  1. Good on you for trying to save another idiot from himself!
  2. Thanks for the suggestions! I think I'm going to end up getting one of the big kits from Griots since my stock of any detailing supplies is pretty much null. I know how to detail and the big do's and don'ts its just been so many years since I've had nice cars to detail that didn't know if there was any new products to get I've never used Griots before and have always used Zaino and Zymol but looking to try something new for the hell of it!
  3. I have a guy that keeps bugging me to trade his Slide Fire for a bunch of my 9mm ammo. I don't really see the point in spending that kind of money on something like that but thats just me. This is also coming from the asshole who hasn't even taken the AR out in the 3 months I've had it
  4. If you're sweating it out you don't have to pee. Which is the major concern for most I believ
  5. Nice! This actually reminds me I should figure out a decent inexpensive hydration system for rides. Fatigue has been one of my biggest enemies in riding, especially down in TN
  6. well I half assed the Myron Mixon rib method yesterday and I'm pleased to say its one of my Top 3 rib efforts to date! I rubbed with the MM Basic BBQ Rub a few hours before throwing on the smoker. Smoked in an aluminum pan for 2 hours at about 275*. Poured apple juice in the pan and covered with foil and smoked another hour. I then turned off the smoker, covered the ribs in sauce and put back in the cooling smoker for another 30 minutes. Pulled them out and let rest 10 mins and ate them up! They came out ridiculously fall off the bone tender (the way I like em best although not the preferred competition consistency) with one of the most perfect amount of smoke taste and color I've been able to achieve yet
  7. if the damage is as stated its the easiest negotiating piece to pay the prices I suggested. Buying bikes with cosmetic damage has been my favorite as long as you know what else to look for to make sure its ONLY cosmetic. They are easy cheap fixes most of the time and if you're looking to flip it can net you at least $1k in profit
  8. a 2013 Buick Verano. It kind of came out of left field as she was down to an Acura ILX or a 3 series but her Dad talked her into this. I'm actually quite surprised how much I like it for being a Buick, they are desperately trying to change their "old person mobile" image. On a school teacher budget, what she wanted and what she could afford within those wants was very slim pickings
  9. Excellent, I'm guessing 90% of its use will be hauling motorcycles but if I end up not having a truck at some point in the near future it will also haul misc home improvement stuff as well as be a moving trailer when needed
  10. My girlfriend picked up a new car this week and naturally decided she wanted a black metallic car. I love black cars but I'm very picky about how they look so I'll be the one detailing it. The problem is I haven't had a car worth caring about in over 3 years so I'm out of touch with detailing products and what not. I'm looking for advice of what to buy for the entire process. I'm talking wash mitts/sponges, soaps, waxes, wax applicators, drying towels, interior cleaning products. etc
  11. I'm cheap but I wouldn't pay more than $3800 for this one: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/3624158699.html I'd go $4k for this http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/mcy/3613354897.html excellent choice at $4k http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/3552662009.html
  12. I know nothing about the difference between these and leaf springs for a trailer so can you give me a rundown on the pro's and con's
  13. ugh I know this feeling all too well! I said no more black cars and the gf came home with a new black car Thursday night. There goes a shit ton of my free time since I'm so damn picky about car detailing
  14. this puppy has been traded in and the new car is in the garage

    2008 CBR600rr

yes finally sold the RR! I assure you once you go VFR you'll like it a pcIII with a custom tune and some suspension upgrades and you'll really forget the RR ever existed
  16. Also or chicken I've heard many many good things about Plowboys Yardbird rub. I've yet to try it but its on my birthday list!
  17. Judd - the Myron Mixon chicken rub is actually pretty damn good! Looks like I'm just trying another MM recipe smoke and doing some baby backs on the smoker and shish kabobs on the grill
  18. Might wanna check dates. This is 3.5 years old...
  19. For real I'd go south. If he's an adventure seeking kid I'm guessing the rolling hills and mountains would provide more joy. Plus you can feast on glorious amounts of REAL BBQ
  20. Hamiltucky's finest! Bienvenidos
  21. I started off on charcoal and ended up picking up my propane to compliment it when I was too lazy or last minute to wanna deal with the charcoal. Well after a few months I sold my charcoal because I just loved the propane used it pretty much solely
