I think desensitized isn't a good word for it. I think it's just more awareness of how to deal with inevitable situations as a motorcyclist. I've had several of these encounters over the years and knowledge of the situation and how to handle it keeps me calm and keeping calm helps avoid mistakes Just the other night I was riding and the truck in front of me slammed brakes cause a dog ran in the street. My gf nearly shit herself as there was no way I'd stop in time to avoid the truck so I calmly slowed effectively and veered over into the shoulder. My buddy following was also shocked I didn't just slam into the truck. But I was calm and knew my out and turned out fine. Willing to bet most the non driving ass hats granted licenses in this state would've rear ended the truck

Well I'm pleased to hear you finally acknowledge there are multiple factors however you still don't seem to want to fully grasp the fact I'm right. It's ok though, most people cannot overcome my breadth of knowledge and don't like to be wrong. With a stock height 2500 with properly adjusted headlights, you'd be surprised how many people think the high beams are on. Like I said its prevalent on hills and curves and can't e more than a second or two before they get all butt hurt

Again you are skipping the point of there being multiple factors to why the lights appear brighter than they actually are. You fail to realize that 90% of the time it when it happens to me is caused by road angle, not light adjustment. I apologize that you don't understand these things but when you concede that not all roads are flat and straight then I think you might find it a little bit easier to understand that even if lights are perfectly aligned (as my truck is) it can lead to less intelligent people thinking the lights are brighter than they are

I get flashed all the time in my truck and it's just a stock height 2500 with halogens. People are primarily cunty idiots that don't have a clue. I wouldn't worry about it

welp having a big cookout on Monday for mine and the gf fam so I'm firing up both smokers! Doing 4 racks of ribs, a chuck roast for some shredded beef and probably a pork shoulder or 2 for pulled pork. Figured if I fired them both up might as well fill em with as much meat as possible for take home for the fam and extras for the freezer!
