  1. One of my favorite types Yes it is fast and no you cannot ride it. I let this guy ride my banshee ONCE and he wrecked, tore out the entire lower let a-arm. 15 min. ride cost him >$400. No body but me has been on it since. Did this dude pay for any damages and was it worth it just watching him wipe out?

    Bike Upgrade

I just turned my 250 Ninja into this: 2001 Honda ACE 750
  3. You got it! I was coming off of BLues Creek onto southbound route 4. I thought for sure this guy was going into that gaurdrail on the turn. Splat.
  4. This was a union county sheriff on a two lane highway. I was imperessed he was going so slow...
  5. There was about a five-count between the time this bike smoked me and the time the cop into sight in my rear view mirror. There was another 5 to 8 senconds before the cop passed me; I had stopped my Jeep. Line of sight in that area is about 2 miles in between a hill and a curve, so I will say about two miles.
  6. Read the police beat last night. Motorcycle clocked driving 105mph on southbound route 4 at 5:23 pm Saturday. Officers reported the drive was not apprehended...or juiced.
  7. Thanks for the quick education. For the record, I joined this forum because the majority of the folks who participate seem to be interested in being safe, adult riders. Save all of the ignorant tough talk for a track or drag strip. Getting your dumb, domesticated ass kicked over how fast you drive your motorcycle on a public road is about as childish as it gets.
  8. I was thinking to myself "gooooooooooo" Pretty ballzy (or what ever chicks call it)... And it is true about the 'ville. The sheriffs would love to actually get to stop somebody like that...something a little different than busting kids with heroine. I had a hunch somebody might know somethin' about somethin' around here.
  9. Anybody trying to attain liftoff going down Route 4 north of Marysville this weekend? I turned into the southbound lane going into town and FOOOOOOMMM!!!!! a blue busa/r1/ something really fukkin fast blew me away. I was going about 55-60; the bike was going 120+. Then he was gone...and here comes the sheriff putting along doing about 75, lights-a-blazing. No prayer of catching that bike. Another sheriff was approaching from the south once I got into town, but I am sure there was nooooo way they were giving chase. He simply disappeared
  10. You haven't wiped out yet:D Wear your gear.
  11. This may be something to consider getting something "financial" out of your injury that will not bring bad blood between you and your employer. First of all, workman’s comp. should provide you with information on your rights. Your employer should be paying for workman’s comp. insurance which is exactly for this type of thing. I had part of my left hand cut off (lost the top of my left ring finger) and crushed my middle finger in a work accident 10 years ago. I got my med bills paid, wc benefits (some small % of my wage) and a $5000 settlement to NOT hold the employer responsible for anything after I made a "full" recovery per the doctor. This type of thing may or may not bring problems into your relationship with your employer. The second part (and holds the most potential) is to look into the Ohio Job and Family Services workers retraining program. It is a state benefit for all Ohioans who are eligible due to work related injuries. In a nutshell, if an injury keeps you from doing the type of work that provides your livelihood, the state will retrain you in a different area. I crushed my hand, could not shovel/operate machinery/perform labor so the state sent me back to college for an engineering education (desk job). They paid my tuition/fees for my ungrad in engineering from OSU. Please understand that I did this ten years ago and things may be different now. I am only sharing and if this type of benefits interests you, maybe I can help find out more...

    O-H

The Dispatch put a nice spin on the Navy game. OSU came within one play (the 2-pt. cpnversion interception) of making me break something. Damn Tressel football. Navy was a nice wake up call and hopefully showed OSU what it means to play every down, even if you are up by 15. Go Bucks, beat USC!!
  13. Just in case some of you have not been through this before, here are the steps you have to follow in Ohio to change a salvage titled bike into a rebuilt titled bike and get plates / registration. I just got off the phone with the BMV and OSP and thought I would share... Right now it has a salvage title. The first step toward riding a salvaged bike legally is to go to the BMV and purchase an inspection ticket ($53.50) for the State Highway Patrol inspection. Then you have to trailer it to to an OSP Salvage site where they inspect the bike for stolen parts / good VIN #'s / reciepts for replacement parts. "Don't ride it in, please." she said After the inspection, the OSP issues a document (pass / fail inspection) that is taken BACK to the title office with the salvage title. Then you pay for a rebuilt title. Then you go to the BMV and buy your plates.
  14. Check out this little toy. http://www.geekologie.com/2009/08/real_life_mario_kart_gokart_is.php
  15. Got a picture of this project?
  16. Any news on this front? Hopefully you dont come on here and tear me a new one for burning your bike down
  17. This reminds me of my buddies new KTM 525. He put pipes on it and rejetted it and it ran like crap. Turned out to be a cracked carb boot. Make sure everything is dry of gas on the inside of the motor as mentioned before and see if you can get it to idle with as little choke as possible to keep it running. Then try to leak check with started fluid. This shit sucks, I know, I am a loyal Banshee rider for the past 6 years
  18. One easy way to check for vacuum leak is to start the avt and LIGHTLY spray starter fluid on the carb boot / intake boots / reed valve gaskets and see if the throttle picks up. Just don't over do it and don't do it when the bike it hot. What kind of atv is this?? If you are cleaning the carbs, take care NOT to spray carb cleaner on the rubber tip of the float needle that shuts off the fuel to the main jet. It will dissolve and not seat correctly, leading to new problems.
