Ive been at ground zero almost all day. The band I'm working with has a show tomorrow in lower manhattan. Lots of pubs full of off duty cops/firemen that were here that day. I made it a priority to shake as many hands as possible. Very sobering day to say the least.

I really enjoyed reading this Doc. Over the years its been a real pleasure getting to know you (and im sure there are more to come!). So, from a friend, thank you for all you do in this community and in others lives that you may never know. This makes me want to ask about my grandfathers history. I know bits and pieces, but i want to know more now. Again, thank you!

Haha I don't do the general managing, just tour manage. Basicallly anything regarding them traveling/playing. Bookin flight,hotels, organizing tours, settling with venues after shows. I travel with them as well, that's why I'm never home hanging out with you guys. Because it is a hometown show we have to start the VIP guestlist with people just in our immediate family and label/radio people. After we get all those names we can continue to add friends ect. Last show we had over 100 people on our guestlist haha which is a lot.

I know there are a few fans of the band that I tour manage on this board. They are playing a show in Columbus at The LC. It will be one of the best live shows you will ever see, if its not I will personally hand you the $15 ticket charge back. The tickets went on sale this morning at 10am and so far we have sold 1,400 tickets as of 9pm tonight. If you want to see them than the best time to get a ticket is sooner than later. It will sell out this week. Also, this is a show you can bring your kids to as well. Good music, great live show and a blast to see. This is a local Columbus band making a big noise in the music industry, so its cool to be apart of it and see it first hand. Hope to see some of you out there! If your coming PM me and id like to come say hey. Specifics: Price - $15 at the box office, $20 online through ticket master (i believe). Location - The LC Pavilion off Neil Ave next to Huntington Field. Set time - TBD (Most likely around 9pm) Show - Indoor, so it goes on rain or shine. iPad mini should be announced next week. Should be a pretty cool little device and priced at sub $300 range. It'll be interesting to see what all the other companies making tablets in that price range will do.

Yeah i dont plan on doing much, just wheels and small things. Im not home enough and would like to just drive it when i am, not have to worry about a blown motor or bad tune.

Idk, but driving an auto G8 seems completely different than driving an auto E55 or SMG M5. The other thing is I don't wanna do ANYTHING motor related to the car other than a cat back exhaust.

The plus is its still got a GM warranty. The fact that pontiac doesn't exist really matters little to me. For the most part it's a mash up of GM parts that are in abundance.

I love the second gen CTS-V and will Probly get one when they drop more in price, but they are still too much. I don't know why but I don't like the first gen that much.

I'd go with a GXP all day if people didn't want $40,000 and your first born son for them. It's insane. I love that it's a Pontiac and its really understated. I hate that I can't find one for even a reasonable price.

For the money, the stock performance can't be matched from what I've seen. Throw some ideas at me Paul. Must be 4 door, rear wheel or all wheel and above 400hp stock. I know there are options, but for the quality and resale value, an E55 or CLS55 cant be beat as far as I know. But then again I need educated. Hence the reason of this thread. I would LOVE if it wasn't a Mercedes. I don't like what comes along with driving a Mercedes (how people view you). Much of the same reason I didn't go with an escalade.

As far as I know they only made the CLS55 5.5l supercharged Amg in 2006.
