So as I posted in another thread, I am going to be heading to Germany for at least 6-8 weeks. How do some of you guys cover your expenses until you get your reimbursement checks? I only ask because I will more than likely have a hell of a lot of expenses to cover while I am over there. I am hoping that they pay for my flight up front. The flight and hotel is really my biggest worry. It looks like I am looking at probably at least 3,000 euros for hotel plus flight and vehicle rental. I want to be able to have at least a decent time while I am over there but I don't exactly have a huge pad of money sitting in the bank at this moment. Also, those that have had to travel for a extended amount of time, do you get paid any extra or just your normal wage? I guess I will find out more information tomorrow but I am trying to prepare myself for how I will cover my expenses before I get reimbursed. I do plan on turning in my forms every week.
Looks like it is 195 euro for a lap around Nürburgring but it can take 3 passengers at once so the cost can be split. On a side note, it is going to suck to have to go a couple months without sex. That and I hope I get some extra pay or something for this trip.
I am not worried about sickness,I have never had an issue before with it on boasts, coasters. Or anything like that. My girlfriend will have to stay, one for work, and also to take care of the dogs. The guys that work in Germany speak better English than most people here.
So it sounds like I may be getting sent to Germany for atleast 6-8 weeks for work to help redesign one of our major product lines. Kind of nervous and excited at the same time but I've never been on a plane before and that is a bit of time to be a way from home. It is a hell of a career opportunity for me. So for those who travel for work and those that have been to Germany, any advice? I am gonna have to leave the house to my gf while gone. Hopefully I will be home by Christmas.
Never hit anything but have come very close. One night about 2 in the morning I had to swerve a freshly hit dear on while on a very dark section of I75. Did have to duck to miss a bird one other time but besides that I haven't had that misfortune yet.
This was a racing accident, a very sad one, but they can happen at any age. The media will be on this like vultures until the next thing pops up. Same thing happened with the off-road racing accident in California a few weeks ago where 9 people were killed that were basically standing on the track when a truck flipped after landing. It was a wide open dessert with a 50 mile loop. They can't block it off but the general public and media called for all these new rules and regulations to a sport they have no clue about. Same situations
Might as well throw in male, female, married, single, swingers, interspecies, and sexual preference. That should cover most of Todd's requests. But, on a serious note it would be pretty cool.
I'm sitting at work making time and a half right now. No I'm not union but then again I'm waiting on my computer to open up a big 3d model which takes a good 15 minutes.
I stopped after work and bought a new HJC IS-16 since I was needing a new lid pretty bad. I put it on and noticed a world of difference from my old HJC cs-12 that was probably about 4 years old. One of the best parts is it has the built in tinted visor that slides up into the helmet so there is no longer a reason to need two shields. I was curious though what everyone else had. I had been looking at a few Shoei helmets but didn't know if I wanted to fork out $600 for a helmet.
