  1. So I just bought an 06 VFR and love it BUT- after 5 years on my Bandit this riding position will limit my comfort:cry:. Anyone with any used or new stuff that fits my bike (seats too), let me know what you have and how much you want for it. Thanks!
  2. A healthy stack of Benjamins and including the helmet in my avatar with the purchase means that this bandit is gonna have a serious identity crisis, at least until I find the next cool bike to own. Now who's got an air-cooled twin with a sporty feel to sell me... cheap!
  3. Both of my X-11s are size XL if you wanted something cheap (used) but still high quality. One is the Kiyonari (in my picture) & the other is the blue E-Boz graphic with bulls on it. Intermediate oval head shape & well cared for lids. Just a thought...
  4. I have 2 Shoei X-11s, an X-12, and just got a brand new in box Bell Star carbon fiber. The Star is an excellent lid, way lighter than the X-12. X-12 works extremely well in the wind and is actually pretty quiet. I haven't used the Star yet... would consider selling it if you need size large? As far as the aforementioned Qwest goes, it shouldn't fog up badly if you use its anti-fog mechanism; it's the same shield as my X-12 and I never have a problem.
  5. This will be my 5th year as an instructor. It is fun, challenging, and rewarding. It also can wear you out! The pay isn't bad but you can't always count on getting lots of classes. There are almost 300 MO instructors currently and they keep training more without adding more classes. We are at the mercy of the state budget and things like this are less important than a lot of other things... like police and fire protection. So if the budget belt keeps getting tighter, there will be even less cash to keep this program affordable. So if you want to help people learn, do it. If you want to make consistent extra money, get a part-time job so that those of us who WANT to help people do it right can have a chance. Good luck.
  6. To be honest, I had my eye on an S4R Monster. That is, until I found out that it is one with the plastic tank expansion problem. I'll avoid that but am still thinking in that genre, such as an air cooled Monster, Speed Triple or even a Guzzi. Just need to change it up but still want lots of torque with all day comfort. Thanks for asking though!
  7. I am bringing this back up only because I'd still be willing to part with it. Offers in the $4500 vicinity will be seriously considered as I have found yet another bike I'd like to have. Hit me up!
  8. I have some Bandit parts taking up space in my garage, and I won't be putting them back on my bike. Things like a scuffed front fairing(2007 black), a clean original clear windshield, the stock exhaust pipe, the brake rotors, forks including calipers, and other odds & ends. I have no idea what they are worth... not much I know, but if anyone needs them, let me know & we'll work out a deal. I'll try to check in here, but if you email me at boxerdad@live.com , I'll know much sooner. I can email pics if needed. Thanks.
  9. I looked for the aforementioned website with no luck, but I did find that the full tribag Givi setup would run around $1100 including all the mounting hardware, depending on the bags you choose. It could go up or down as much as $100 with different bag options. Still a lot less than an FJR! On a similar note, there are now several seat options, including Corbin and Sargent. Personally I like the stocker but rarely sit on it more than four hours at a time.
  10. I'll be at IP working on Thursday and will look into pricing, I've been curious about the bags myself. If I can't get this sold, I'll likely keep it forever. I know www.everythingsuzuki.com used to have bags for it but it's been quite a while since I was looking for stuff for this. I'll post any info I find out by Friday just so anyone who's looking will know. Thanks.
  11. OK, I'll go no lower than $5500. Otherwise the other bike I want seems a lot less interesting...
  12. It probably won't help but since I just lowered my CL price by $500, I'll do the same here. $6000 takes it.
  13. Sweet front turn signals. Where did they come from? I've also looked around for mirror mounted signals but have had no luck. Also, how do you like your Sargent seat? If I can't get mine sold I may have to break down and get myself one of those...
  14. Thanks for the encouragement, I guess us Bandit owners can't leave a great bike alone. Yours looks great too. The conversion was a major pain in the ass. I had to make adapters to fit over the forks and inside the stock triple clamp. Plus changing to the GSXR wheel and brake in the back was a nightmare. The wheels were nowhere close to the same so I had to machine some spacers and fabricate a bracket for the rear caliper. It took more than one attempt to get the spacing just right to squeeze the rotor properly. I am glad I did it but if I had to do it all over again... The coolest part is that only the most detail oriented Bandit owners even notice. It looks fairly stock to the unfamiliar. Perhaps now a few people may at least appreciate the asking price? Thanks again.
  15. Thanks for fixing my photo fail! After looking at the other Bandit here, I may have to rethink my asking price...
  16. Crap, I hate attaching photos! More pics of it on my profile...
  17. Just thinking about getting into another bike and would like to get rid of this one first. 10400 miles. GSXR750 forks, brakes, and wheels. Taller tinted screen, hugger, and lower bodywork. Conti road attack tires in good condition. Scorpion CF slipon, K&N filter, PCIII; dynotuned by Brian. Runs really well, oil changes every 2k with Amsoil 10W40 synthetic and always K&N oil filters. OR price $6500. I know it's a lot for a Bandit, but you'll never find one with these forks or brakes. The handling improved tenfold with this mod. Bike is in Blacklick (Central Ohio)
  18. Well, I already have one set of your forks on my Bandit, why not put another set on my (soon to be) track SV? If this is still for sale in a week or so I'll be callin ya!
  19. I have two dogs and they are getting older... I think about what I'll do when I am faced with this type of decision. In the end, you have to do what's right for the dog. She'll always be happy when you get home, but if she's in terrible pain when you are gone it'd be best to let her go. I feel for you man, best of luck.
  20. Where is this bike located? I may be very interested if it's near Columbus!
  21. For the record the X-11 is still for sale. Hit me up with some offers. This is an excellent helmet. Ask anyone who has ever owned an X-11, I have never heard a single bad word about them.
  22. The X-12 is sold. Still would sell the X-11 E-Boz if anyone wants it. I am not opposed to keeping it; always good to have more than one helmet.
  23. Check out my 2 Shoeis. Neither will "match" your bike but how many well built helmets will? You can get yourself the best fit & feel at half the original price! Let me know...
  24. Thanks. As you can see I am kind of a Shoei junkie!
  25. This is a partial repost. I have 2 excellent condition helmets for sale, both size XL. The X-11 E-Boz graphic (blue with bull) was posted here a while ago with no success. The X-12 B-Boz graphic (orange ,yellow, and black) is super new and was worn only 3-4 times. I will listen to offers at this point, I need cash to set up my SV for track days. Looking for $250ish for the X-11 and $450 for the X-12. PM me or email me at boxerdad@live.com with offers. Thanks.
