  1. Thanks for the union vs corporation clarification, didnt know that..... .but the net result of the whole thing is that it has created a class of super PACs.... funded by billionaires and they "whisper" their deep pockets into the ears of our elected officials..no accountability and huge dark money...

The left and right combined are a minority compared to the independents. But the left and right has the money and power. Fix it.

The parties are owned by billionaires... and the Citizens United, SCOTUS  decision has polluted elections with billions of dark money...

  3. Have Verizon too... Getting expensive... Got a phone and a tablet... cant bitch about the service, but effe the monthly bill.

Tonik was talking about getting a new nut so I went ahead and got 6.  Couldn't find brass so aluminum will have to do.

Nice parts through Amazon from ProBolt.  Helicoiled and drilled for safety wire made them too cool to pass up as an impulse buy.  About $3 apiece after shipping.

ProBolt is awesome... great stuff! My bike has titanium fender bolts... 😎 lol

Wait you put Aluminum bolts on your drive sprocket? Dunno if I would do that...

I know they are made of 7575 T6 Tensile probable 85ksi... but still

    Anybody else do that?

Got the bolt out of the swingarm last night.

Picked up a bolt extractor from Lowes on the way home. That and soaking in PB Blaster overnight seemed to do the trick. I found the weep hole in the swing arm and was able to hit the back side of the threads with PB Blaster.

Waiting on replacement parts then will install with anti-seize :D

Yay! Love that PB Blaster super shit, made in Cleveland..

So it looks like the chain adjuster in my DRZ400SM is seized. I'm not having any luck getting it loose.

I'm probably going to need the bolt cut off, drilled out and retapped. Anybody know a shop that could do this?

Making a guess,, dunno what it looks like....  but loosen axle and maybe pull off rear wheel,  pull off and shit can the siezed adjustor, install a new one?

    (how hard could it be?)

Thanks guys.... Sounds like I will start with fluid and go from there. It's a 2012 with 12k miles and original fluid. Sounds like it's due.

Its more than due... .its overdue..... Kinda leads to the brakes too... been changed and flushed?

  8. Check the wiring at the starter solenoid and relay. It could be burnt or have bad connectors.

Other than that, I 'm kinda at the gotta be there stage and go to town a with a multimeter.....you have something that breaks conductivity when it warms up.

Ok, so I'm going to make one last attempt to figure out what is wrong with my bike before taking it to the shop to have them fix it. As of right now I pretty much have my bike completely stripped down. It will start.. once... and then needs a long period of rest(a few hours-day) before it starts again. I've eliminated the batterie, fuses, electric start, wiring harness. I just can't figure it out. It will push start every single time, but will only electronic start when it hasn't been started for a period of time, regardless if it's hot or not. When it's actually running I don't see any issues. Bike is fuel injected.

Bad starter? Bad plugs? Bad? Something else? I'm at a total loss. I really can't see it being a bad starter or a fuel issue. Could it possibly have to do with the stator? Rectifier? I'm just completely lost at this point and need a push in the right direction. It will run for hours with no issues though. Any advice would be appreciated, taking it to the shop is kind of a last resort type of deal for me, but will if I have to.

Have you checked the charging system?  Wahts volts at idle? Volts at 5000 RPM --- Stator check, pull connector... stator side connector, AB/BC/BA resistance, AB/BC/BA  to ground, then AC volts on again AB/BC/BA - idle and 5000 rpms. See if you can do that.. Oh yeah.... Verify a good battery first under load. tested. and battery static volts?

(I've fixed my share of Honda charging systems...) Noticing you have an '01 F4i... around then Honda was going cheap on charging components and the R/Rs were junk...

Not bored. Quite the contrary. It is a great bike. I just want something more refined. I guess I spent too much time on Ducatis.

So you would say Ducati and refinement in the same sentence? KInda yes and no? Ok, kinda showing my addiction, but refinement and reliability is VFR, mbe try one. The bikes have soul and a killer exhaust sound. -  If you ride Ducs, you already understand soul. - (no inline 4 is ever gonna have that.)
