You could check completed listings on eBay and look at just the ones that actually sold.
Yeah, I get that, but there has to be a old Honda junkies group hang out paper/blog/forum or other thing someplace.
Been doing the Google thing but maybe someone would know better and point out a direction...
Kinda like a what if a barn find situation.........

I'm researching typical pricing of '70s Honda's - twins and fours, the whole range produced.
Can you suggest some good resources for fair prices, bikes in various conditions
- assuming someone would buy, do some or major resto work and then sell to make a few bucks.

Look, CNN sucks. Saying Fox is better than CNN is certainly true. But that does not make Fox good. CNN is better than MSNBC for example.
Come on, Fox was calling Covid a hoax just a few weeks ago.
CNN and Fox are heads and tails of the same coin........

There a few that I've considered buying, but then common sense kicks in and I talk myself out of it.
Is it worthwhile to own a cool classic bike from the 60s, 70s, or 80s?...or is it too much of a PITA to deal with carbs, old electrics, and leaky for seals?
I like and enjoy wrenching on bikes, but I think there is a line in there where I no way have the temperament to do any kinda resto on early 80s or 60s or whatever. Guys that do it are crazy for punishment but do have my respect.. Mbe if one was fully updated/restored already.... (naw)....

Suggest looking up a few job hunting groups in the Dayton area. Start with the Panerians... check panerians.com
Sign up for unemployment soon.... and there's the resume on Monster requirement that goes with it.
Also, get a Linked in profile going, and file a resume on indeed.
I just went thru a long job hunt episode myself .. I also live in Dayton. PM me if you want to trade notes.

I am a big Valkyrie fan and when I heard that Honda was doing a 1800 version, I was kinda excited about it. I bet that bike is a great ride, but its sooo damn ugly. Seems like the same crew that did the VTX1300, the 1200 VFR also did the 1800 Valk. I am a Honda crazy, but the design team needs a kick in the ass. (WTF r u thinking?)
I do have the original version and I like it as a laid back slacker cruiser for a ride on the local backroads. Mondo torque off idle, and crack it WFO and its got a great honking engine sound. I dont think any twin would fill the bill as the flat six does...

Well, the answer is probably "yes" to all, I do lust for a clean green 500/550.
The thing that got the gears in my brain going is that I happened to bump into an older gent
who was a Honda dealer in the 60s & 70s. - Um.. OMG, my head is def still spinning from that.
