Don't knock it until you try it. It makes 500 mile days at full tilt safer and easier to ride back-to-back. If I could only get a quick shifter, I would pass. The auto-down is where it counts.
It was just a bit of a fun rib....sure, I would like to try one......

My GS has an electronic quick shifter w/ an "auto-blipper" which automatically rev-matches when I step down on the shifter. No clutch or wrist twist required. Close throttle, press on shifter, engine revs to match vehicle speed and gear ratio, bike downshifts into gear without chassis disruption.
Oh...lazy shifter.......😀

Lots of great roads listed. One of my favs is going 41S out of Greenfield.... there are some other good roads in that general area....

What an awesome trip!

Lawsuit on the first surgeon? That sorta like not tightening lug nuts on a wheel....

Really would hate for this place to fold. I'm on 6 or 7 other mc forums and they are all very active.. trip reports, bike builds, vendors, tech info, mods, custom stuff, I even make VFR parts for sale.

Well that would suck if the forum went away.
I hope whatever is going on works out for the best.
Agree with that, but I have noticed activity seems to be contracting.......
Isn't Casper the owner of the site? Will he give up here, it costs bucks to keep a forum going.

So what's the real story with Casper, Tonik and Pauly??
Trump's new online new directive of site owners are now liable for all things anybody posts killing things? (Normally a Dem would do that...)
Or......?

Putting Ohlins on that bike is laughable....

Wait....what is the bike? A CTR 110? Really? Pics? Onlins is probably waaay overkill for that! There are other options for half the cost that would be fine.
As a btw, I think I would fire your restomod guy!

Yes, the shocks are for the 110. The problem is finding shocks that will fit a 50 year old motorcycle. The ones that came with the bike were beyond crappy-- and so were the front forks. Both of these components are going to be replaced. This bike will primarily be used as a commuter to and from work, and for pleasure riding on secondary roads. No highway riding. At this point, I really don't care about the cost. I just want the project done and done correctly.

Before I go here... I am not a Democrat, no way no how....
I agree about Trump to try to rig the election.... First he hires Louis DeJoy - a major Repub donor $millions for the postmaster general. (Conflict of interest anyone?)
DeJoy immediately changes procedures to slow down mailing and dismantle high speed processing machines... (no problem there.)
Then Repubs conspire with Kayne West to get him on the ballot of battleground states to suck votes from Biden...
And then Bill Barr as attorney general is going as another Trump sycophant to discredit mail ballots.
And finally Trump is actively discrediting mail in ballots, even though some state have used for decades. (Hypocrite, Trump mailed in his ballot)
Felony after felony, the deserves a cell in a federal prison.

Depending on the bike... older classic, dont think so... newer sporty type, maybe. I'm running a Penske on a VFR.

Yes... me too... I could get into the gravel backroad thing...
Should we start a "rides" thread vs the work on the bike thread?
