  1. LOST, correct on Valley Villa....they might still be open, but will be closing soon for this year, but if we do this ride next year, they will be open. I think i am back to LA this week, the weekend of the 17th, I have a wine tour with friends ( I dont drink wine so i am the DD) and then the 24th I have a halloween party. So unless we do this on a Sunday?I am usually in Chagrin Falls on Sunday late afternoon, early evening on the bike anyways.
  2. Well, since I had the day off, I went out to squires castle. I took a few pics of the place, just to act as a teaser. I also got a few pics of Chargrin river road south bound. On place we can add to the list is an ice cream place on 322 in the same parking lot as Chesterland Tavern. I wont name the place since I am not advertising, but the family owns it......I'll post up a few teaser pics shortly
  3. Brandywine falls is nice. I been there. There is a nice overlook/deck to see the falls. Then Chagrin falls, and in Bedford, there is Bridalvail Falls, but it is off a narrow, muddy path to see that one. The highlight of my planned route is Chagrin river road, through Gates Mills and Hunting Valley. You actually pass a polo field. No really, a polo field in NE Ohio
  4. Seeing 2010 makes it seem like the next riding season is so far away.
  5. After watching some of the Ken Burns series on the National Parks, I got an idea to tour some of the waterfalls and the Metro park in Cuyahoga Valley. Looks like I'll plan a route for next summer since we are running out of free weekends before November. I will include part of Chagrin River Road and Squires Castle....Any interest?
  6. THe Heli is for the Jefferson VFW, it was along the way, so a good point to stop.
  7. I was planning on running a Fiero this year, but my hours were reduced at the beginning of the year. We figured it would be $1,000 a per person with a 4 man team. That includes buying a car, the entry fee, getting it ready and firesuits and spare parts. If I did not go on the covered bridge tour Saturday, I would have gone to Nelson's to watch the race.
  8. It was not too loud, but i could hear your bike over mine. I have not worn ear plugs while riding.
  9. Oh, the Durango is running Cleveland headers = slight rust holes in the muffler......it will be replaced before the snow falls.....
  10. Likwid's bike does not exactly have the "stealth" exhaust option either. Try following his bike for 60 miles at highway speed.
  11. Dang, I have a another local party that evening....
  12. The Katana riding position is a bit more up right, but remember i am probably alot older then you.....lol
  13. I'd like to see pics of the 442
  14. That really is a sweet ride.......
  15. How many bikes would have been too many for this tour?
  16. Ok, maybe not crazy, how about "spirited"?
  17. I just looked at the slideshow Emily took. Nice composition at Haperserfield bridge. I did not notice the ducks in the water. It is amazing how fast 225 miles clicks off when you are riding.....I am just glad I did this trip on the 850 and not on the Katana....I think my back and my wrist would be hurting
  18. Likwid...it was more like crazy kickstand almost down action....... <<<You guys see my crazy knee down action... yah booyyeeeeee>>>
  19. Nice shot of the rainbow WAY BACK on post #247
  20. We could not drive through this bridge, since there were customers inside
  21. This is me on my 1982 GS 850 L, sporting the "rustorical" plate (historical)
