  1. I agree, riding is dangerous enough without adding in the slowed reaction times and poor coordination and balance from alcohol. Working in a hospital I have seen too many bikers that come into the ER from alcohol related accidents, kinda scared me away from even thinking about drinking and hopping on a bike.
  2. I got to about the Worthington exit on 270 before it cut loose and this huge clump of leaves and twigs smashed into my windscreen going about 65, so I hauled ass off the highway to a Chase Bank drive thru and sat it out...got totally DRENCHED on the way back to Marysville though. I hope mother nature plays nice next bike night. I heard all the sirens blasting as I was sitting there at the bank thinking "welp, I'm done..." lol. Glad everyone else made it home in one piece. Definitely gotta clean the bike now. ~Andy
  3. Nice ride report, I always look forward to your pics.
  4. Cool vid!! Makes me miss WV, I grew up there. Lots of good riding down that way huh?
  5. I would love to have a go at that punk ass...what a fucking piece of shit. I hope, and I mean this with all sincerity, that someone sees him out somewhere and goes to town on him with a tire iron until he isn't moving. I have NO respect for people that mistreat animals.
  6. Yeah their #1 pick amazed me...in a good way, that is one of my all time favorite movies and characters. Good pick!
  7. I am a Libertarian and I agree 100%. The major problem with this country is the Federal Government, mostly how big and invasive it has become. I totally disagree with the collection of the Federal Income Tax for starters. I think if people were just sent a big bill at the end of every year for the tax dollars that they "owe" instead of the government withholding it out little by little with each paycheck then people would realize how bad they are getting the shaft. Secondly, I get sooo tired of seeing all of the unmotivated, uneducated, welfare baby making people out there living decent comfortable lives off of the hardworking taxpayers money. This is such a disincentive...and it is just wrong to reward this kind of behavior. It is one thing for a displaced worker to have a little rough patch and need some temporary financial assistance...it is completely another for a person to live the majority of their lives on welfare and not trying to find work while popping out kid after kid to collect a bigger check. I could go on and on about what bugs me in this country but these are two of the biggies for me. I think when the middle class finishes crumbling (thanks in part to NAFTA and our state and federal governments) there will be a big "class war" between those that have all the money and influence and those that have had their money taken and jobs outsourced.
  8. Good timing, my subscription is about to run out.
  9. I agree with what has been said, it is a decision that you need to make as a parent based on the childs level of understanding and the ability to follow rules while being a passenger. That said...I am a parent of two little girls, my soon to be 3 year old bugs me constantly to take her for rides on the bike and I won't let her. I told her that when she gets a year or two older I will get her a mini dirt bike of her own and that when she can ride that then she can go with me. Also, she is tall and smart for her age...as in she knows how to start my bike from watching me do it and knows where the horn and throttle are and how they work...I have a feeling I will have a hard time keeping her off of bikes when she gets older. She has it in her blood I think...I ride, her grandpa rides, and her great grandpa rides. My first time on the back of a bike was when I was 5 btw, and I remember being real scared at first so take it easy if and when you take your little guy out.
  10. Marysville here, not too far from you man...my fiance is the same, she hates when I go out solo.
  11. That is true, plus as with most bikes he was probably turning around making sure it was actually a cop..because our mirrors vibrate and distort images behind us (at least my bike does some). Plus if he was riding properly he would still be in 1st gear at the stop meaning he had the clutch pulled and would not be able to raise his hands immediately anyway. Bad shoot for the cop, glad he was found guilty.
  12. +1 Heck yeah it does!! Love the Predator
  13. There is NO WAY in hell I would let my daughter do that. There are too many sickos out there that get off on that kind of stuff, plus it is just wrong to corrupt the innocence of childhood with that sh!t.
  14. Here you guys go, it is EXACTLY like this one.
  15. Yeah it is just like the one jagr put in that link just the lettering is different because I bought it in '08 and jagr posted the new design they started in '09. I am not at home now but when I get off of work in the morning I can take a few pics.
  16. LOL... We prefer "plus sized". This is a pretty good deal for a bigger dude like myself looking for a good mesh jacket.
  17. I have a Shift Airbourne Mesh Jacket (all black) that I bought about 2 years ago and have never worn. I forgot I even had it until I was cleaning out my closet the other day. It is in new condition and fits about true to size to maybe a tad small. If you wear a 2xl T-shirt comfortably then this jacket should fit you fine. Let me know if anyone is interested... I was going to throw it up on Ebay or CL, I just wanted to give anyone here dibs before I did that.
