  1. How's the GPS mount workin for ya?

  2. Am i "retarded".... maybe. I'm not a diesel mechanic or expert. But the guys running diesel drag trucks and the super stock tractor pulls you could assume know how to tune a diesel engine. Now with that being said i was only trying to make a simple point with my first post. Making smoke just to make smoke is retarded. Using aftermarket parts to try and make more power and just so happens you get smoke. Is ok in my book. I dont own either. To each thier own. I dont care what you drive just dont hit me with it.
  3. week 2 is done. if anyone cares:D
  4. I think to get the black smoke all you have to do is turn up the injector pump. Combine that with semi pipes = redneck. Now if your pourin smoke because you have a huge turbo, propane injection, real exhaust and actual performance parts than that = badass!
  5. Well i decided to re-design my GPS mount today. It should look and work better. I needed to brush up on my lathe skills anyway. I have'nt ran one for a while. Also here are some more pics cuz i know how you people like pictures. Crappy cellphone pic #1 Crappy cell pic #2 Crappy cell pic#3 Here is the old one i made on the bike. the new one is much shorter. I think next week i will replace my stock frame sliders. I might try and come up with something fancy out of aluminum.
  6. Thats what im sayin. Especially if your paying someone to change them.
  7. So me and a buddy are disputing the need to get your wheels balanced after getting new tires. I say get them balanced whether it be static or dynamic but still have them balanced. The opposing view is that all you need to do is line up the dot on the tire with the valve stem and your good to go. Honestly i think he is half right but you still need to have them balanced. So do i get to rub it in his face and call him a assclown or do i eat crow?
  8. Im switching to the Q2's this year. Seems that the rear wears pretty fast. But i have nothing else to compare it to. 5000 miles is about what i got out of my rear. The center is smoked and the sides are almost down to the wear lines. O and i cant forget about the 1/2 inch chicken strips.
  9. In Troy there is no late fee. The manager will overide the fee. Just got my sticker tuesday. But if you live in Troy they do add another $10 for bridge renovation. Total = $38.50.
  10. Congratulations... that is one big baby!
  11. made the mount myself. being a machinist i dont pay for anything i can make cheaper myself.

  12. I just finished up the first week of podrunners tonight. I read thru this post a couple weeks ago and said screw it i gotta do something. So maybe you guys can help me keep to it. So guess i can thank some of you for kicking me in the ass. As Fonzie did i guess i could post after each run.
  13. Gonna get out there today and straighten up the garage. The more it warms up the more i will work on the bike. But it will test out the stand today.
  14. I probaly could have way over engineered it but i just wanted to get it done and go home. It was really just a hack and whack job. More function than form. But thanks for the compliment.
  15. depends on what you need.
  16. Tried to put this in the How-to section but was blocked from starting a new thread.
  17. Here is a little something i made after work today. I made it out of scrap aluminum. I bought the caster wheels so i have about 40 bucks and a hour and a half of my time. Here's some pictures for your viewing pleasure. Milling the top flat Adding teflon pads as to not scratch anything Milling the bottom so the wheels are perfectly level Checking the fit of the caster wheels All done and at home The wheels are rated for 200lbs a piece so it should be able to hold up about anything i need.
