  1. Seat before removing and count turns, clean and seat when reinstalling, then turn back out same number as counted in fist step. DO NOT seat them hard, turn until it stops gently! this will give a good starting point.
  2. You will for sure need to power with cord, none of the cameras get the record time listed. You will be lucky to get 1-1.5 out of it on battery.
  3. That vote is mine...think the republic should get who they choose, right or wrong.
  4. From what you are explaining, either no or slow gas flow to the carbs, or you did not clean them well. did you remove every single jet, even the one under the blind plug? The pilot circuit is responsible for idol, and will run the way you have explained if clogged. If you have a steam cleaner, use it to put pressure on all the circuits and clean them out. I have never really had good luck with the carb dip because the clogged circuits keep cleaner from entering and doing their job.
  5. Bad part of Columbus is not even in the same level as bad part of Detroit. There are many areas that police do not enter and it looks like a war zone. If one has not seen how bad it it is, you will be shocked. Stay Safe!
  6. Cranking up the hate knob. Soon the hate will be overwhelming and some of you will fall to the dark side.
  7. PR4 are not any better than T30 or Angles, but if you pay a bunch more maybe they will be better in your mind. my vote is T30 as best value hands down.
  8. Forgot about Kennedy's Never heard good or bad about service department, but I go there often for parts.
  9. Proper adjustment will give you a slight drag as you pull the clearance gage out. Make sure you recheck after tightening the lock nut, it will tend to tighten up if you are not careful. Remember you are better off a little loose than too tight. Valve clearance tightens over time.
  10. Go to All Seasons Sports Center in Wooster. They have old timers and are very good. This is the only place in NEO I would trust for proper work. Tell Shawn Caylor that ZRX Brian sent you...he will treat you good.
  11. What you are describing sounds like a lean condition, too much gas will make it boggy. More than likely the carbs need rebuilt and the entire intake track needs checked for cracks and air leaks. The bike is old enough that every rubber piece on/in carbs will need replaced. To try troubleshooting with out first rebuilding the carbs will be a nightmare.
  12. The fuel petcock rebuild is very easy and straight forward. You can get a K&L kit on Dennis Kirk for 15-25 bucks that replaces everything rubber.
  13. In the future the best cheap oil which can be purchased anywhere is Shell Rotila 15-40. It has great oil analyst rating and caries the JASO-MA rating. This is the conventional white bottle. You can also use the T6 synthetic but is not needed. the oil looks like you have some gas contamination and I would seriously consider rebuilding the fuel petcock and possibly replacing you needle fill valves, as both are notorious for failing and filling the crankcase with fuel.
  14. Just dump the oil and replace...do not worry about warming it up. You do not want to risk further damage of the sound is coming from a rod or crank bearing.
  15. It is not uncommon for a bike to sound weird or knock with the transmission in neutral and clutch engaged. The transmission is running without a load and the dog engagement range is pretty big so it tends to sound like loose marbles. If it goes away with clutch pulled in or under load I would not worry about it.
  16. My boy wanted to do a small restoration project with his moped and here are the results so far... He has done the hard work; tear down, stripping, sanding. I did the spraying and help with assembly when needed. It's been fun and I hope he has learned a great deal from the experience. before After
  17. Shitty part was Derek's next day air order was 3 years ago...this has been going on for awhile. Last summer Brandon was bit by them with a next day shipment.
  18. It was a rectifier for your CBR929. Ordered next day air on Thursday with 2 hours to spare on their "same day ship" clock and it arrived the next Tuesday. They guaranteed it would ship and be there Friday.
  19. Apparently I was not the only one...
  20. Looks good, and this may be the cleanest this bike will ever be!
  21. Welcome! You will fit in well.
  22. This makes me very sad. I so badly want an American branded truck, but they all suck. Ford can not make a truck that doesn't need meads replaced as routine maintenance (remember the light saber spark plugs) Dodge Ram will rust off the road in 2 years, if the transmission or rear end bearing make it that long. GM motors blow up because even after 40 years of fucking with multiple cylinder displacement, they still can not get it right. That's if the intake, head, water pump gaskets hold up long enough to miles on the motor. Demoralizing
