  1. Thank you. Not Sean Paine. Different Sean, who had a white 1GA as well.
  2. More coming soon. It depends which Sean you're referring to.
  3. Thanks guys. Looking forward to riding as well when we have the chance.
  4. I've been working on this as time has allowed over the winter, and the setup is finally complete. It's been a "spare parts" build, using as many spare materials and as little money as possible to get it to this point. It will not be a fire-breathing monster, although that isn't the intent of the project. Details: Stock engine On 3 GT30 Recirculated On 3 44mm wastegate Recirculated R35 GTR BOV Custom 3" back door intercooler with 7.5" SPAL fan Dynojet PCV boost & fuel On 3 boost gauge & wideband LSK DIY cage kit Alba Racing Baja Crusher beadlock wheels CST Sandblast paddle tires Stock wheels & tires for dirt and road driving I may be forgetting some things. Here are the two vlogs I've filmed while finishing this project:
  5. This. More trouble than they're worth.
  6. I do not have availability in my schedule for this project.
  7. Thank you, Clark. I've put a few 140gr rounds through it so far, but would like to try some heavier ones to see how the 1:8 barrel likes them. It sounds like you've been busy. That's an awesome arsenal.
  8. If you guys didn't see, Aero Precision released their PCC (pistol caliber carbine) rifles and components at Shot Show this year, and project a first quarter release. I'm excited to browse the PCC catalog and begin planning/executing my next build. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2020/01/24/shot-2020-aero-precision-pistol-caliber-carbines/
  9. Rick, you should join Wags one of the times he comes out to pick up firewood, and you can use it on my range. I'm interested to hear the noise it makes hitting steel.
  10. That thing is awesome, Rick. It would be fun to partake in a Nerf battle with them. Where did you get the plans for it?
  11. Thank you, everyone. Head spacing checked out, now all I need is free time when it isn't shitty and/or freezing to try it out. It will be interesting to see how temperamental it is cycling properly with the light BCG and pin.
  12. Considering it's the middle of winter, and opportunities for automotive-related extracurricular activities are sparse, it's the perfect time to put a gun, or two, or many together. What have you built this winter? Here's my first of the cold season: Details are: Aero Precision SOCOM Blue 15" M-LOK M5 builder set Rise Armament RA-240 3.5lb trigger with titanium fasteners Brigand Arms carbon pistol grip V-Seven titanium ambidextrous safety selector V-Seven titanium magazine release Aero Precision lower parts kit Lancer Systems A2 carbon fixed stock w/Luth A2 buffer tube Tubb flat wire buffer spring Fluted 22" Ballistic Advantage 6.5 creedmoor barrel V-Seven titanium BCG and firing pin V-Seven titanium port door and rod Radian Raptor tungsten gray ambidextrous charging handle Area 419 Hellfire brake Superlative 0.936" adjustable gas block Stainless rifle length gas tube I anodized the raw titanium components a nice teal color to add color contrast against the dark SOCOM Blue. Next will be checking head spacing (gauges arrive today). Provided it passes that test, it will be time to test fire it and inspect for any abnormalities in its operation. Once I'm confident in its function, it will be time to purchase a bipod and scope, and begin learning about distance shooting. So, what have you guys built this winter?

    Gun goals 2020

I didn't take your post as being targeted. Sounds like you've had a good experience with yours. More incentive to put one together.

    Gun goals 2020

It's apples to oranges, but I had a Hi Point 9mm carbine years ago that I enjoyed immensely, let alone the amount of enjoyment possible from a higher quality firearm. Putting an AR9 together seems like a great way to get more rounds down range cheaply, as well as satiate the desire to build and tinker.

Utilize my range as much as possible. Begin attending classes. Finish the 6.5 CM AR10 I've been building. Buy a Glock 19. Build an AR9. Buy a larger safe and work on filling it.
  16. While I do not have firsthand experience with them, I do recommend them as an alternative to Blue and Red machines. I know personally and know of numerous top-tier welder/fabricators using their machines daily with excellent results on both polarities. I've debated purchasing one of their TIG machines as a back up/secondary unit here. I say go for it. It's difficult to find a better bang for the buck machine out there.
  17. Keep plugging away at the Supra, turbocharge my YXZ, and build more guns.
  18. Nice video, Matt. This project is wild, I look forward to seeing more of it.
