  1. The forums are your best bet honestly.
  2. Got my intake pipe material, 6" aluminum 90-degree bends (5" downpipe material for comparison): http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Supra%20Build%202012-2013/DSC_0486.jpg Then I started in on the runners. I couldn't find anyone local to bend the oval pipe (aside from paying thousands for another company's tooling), so I built my own bends. Beveling: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Supra%20Build%202012-2013/DSC_0493.jpg Mirror-polishing weld surfaces: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Supra%20Build%202012-2013/DSC_0494.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Supra%20Build%202012-2013/DSC_0495.jpg Then I started in on the welding. Here you can see the bevel hard at work: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Supra%20Build%202012-2013/DSC_0496.jpg I ended up with these: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Supra%20Build%202012-2013/DSC_0503.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Supra%20Build%202012-2013/DSC_0502.jpg I ended up cutting 1.5" off of the flange-side of each runner to allow for better plenum fitment. Ran out of energy and tooling to do anything else.
  3. Beveled: http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/644149_4417187301730_1245920738_n.jpg
  4. Did a test weld with some left over runner stock: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/IMG_20121119_191541.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/IMG_20121119_191527.jpg I could get used to good aluminum
  5. They have a price on the site but I have the hookup on them. PM me which ones you need.
  6. If UPS didn't take a fucking month of Sundays to get the box to me, I would have been able to get the runners bent and start on that today. Oh well, tomorrow's a new day I guess.
  7. To start this year right, I had a nice box come from Ross Machine Racing today: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Supra%20Build%202012-2013/DSC_0475-1.jpg My first project is a semi-replica of their gen 2 intake manifold that Supra enthusiasts have become so accustomed to. Buying from a reputable company such as RMR is a much better experience than any I've had from a materials standpoint; everything is beautifully cut, the fitment is immaculate, and the billet pieces are truly breathtaking. Take a look at these velocity stacks: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Supra%20Build%202012-2013/DSC_0476-1.jpg I can't wait to get started.

  9. Wouldn't touch that place without a level 3 suit minimum.
  10. This. Still have those pipes I did for you sitting at the shop.
  11. Definitely the first time he's done that.
  12. It's going on a GE head I'd assume, I'm not 100% sure though. Customer request and I don't ask more questions than I need to.
  13. The GTE plenum is forward-facing, which allows for better charge pipe routing and free reign of the entire topside of the motor.
  14. Got started on this project today, fitting a 2JZ-GTE intake manifold plenum onto 2JZ-GE runners. Got all the preliminary work done today before I realized I was out of the tungsten I needed. Mirror finish weld and flangesurfaces: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/DSC_0463.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/DSC_0464.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/DSC_0468.jpg Port-matched and polished plenum: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/IMG_20121113_204120.jpg And they said it couldn't be done.
  15. Ever wonder how many of these people are innocent, but they get spotlighted because the media's decided we always have to hate someone?
  16. No problem, good luck with your project.
  17. FJO is sold. I only have one mount still but might put it on the silver car now. Welding's just like anything else, takes a lot of practice to get it down.
  18. It's officially the start of this winter's build: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/IMG_20121110_160449.jpg NWS: Updates to come.
  19. More gets done with constant congressional gridlock.
  20. For sale is the full stock intake manifold off my car. It's served its purpose well but it's time for me to build one. The manifold includes all three pieces (runners, plenum, and TB), and all sensors aside from a MAP sensor (will do a package deal on my AEM) and IACV (not for sale). It is in great condition and free of cracks, structural flaws, and most cosmetic flaws. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/IMG_20121105_011328.jpg $200 + shipping Also for sale is my 3.5 bar AEM MAP sensor. Sensor works flawlessly and only has maybe 2k miles on it. Selling to upgrade to a 5 bar sensor. Does not include pigtail. $75 + shipping All prices are reasonably OBO. Please PM me with questions and/or interest.
