    CR Dent Day OCT 19

I'll let Mark talk the pricing bit. I have big dents and small dents. He said pricing varies depending on the work needed. That's good for me. I'm sure he's looking out for us. You can bring beer.
  4. Having my own range allows me the freedom to teach more effectively without the confusion of patrons at a public range. Meaning, the quality of instruction per student with me, can be where I need it to be for me to get to know the student and how they are as a shooter. The CR rate is $75 per person and, $125 for a couple. Non CR is $100 per person and $150 per couple. Please bring the people you live with that are over 21 years old. I have a few hand guns to rent if someone needs to use them for $10 + ammo. Most people will spend 30-45 minutes on the firing line with me teaching and evaluating them one on one. I have worked with people who have never even touched a firearm, and taught them to qualify within this time. If more training is needed, we address it at that time. If someone does not meet the requirements at the range, they will be offered to train with me another time at no cost for them to me, they just cover the weapon and ammo they bring or rent from me. Once they meet the requirements, I sign their certificate and they are all set. Should they choose to not want to continue training, they may opt for a refund and go through someone else who is more lenient. Same goes for the written test; we will retrain another time and focus on the areas of concern. No one in my class has scored below a 90 on the open book written test. People have scored a 100% on the written test and not passed the range, requiring retraining. The dignity of those who need to retrain is protected. No one in the class knows who did or did not pass, unless everyone passes, and then it is open discussion. Class starts at 8am and goes to 8pm in Johnstown, about 15 minutes from Easton. Please PM me or post here and I will save your seat. I look forward to working with you.
  5. There was quite a bit of interest for people here, in getting together and having some small dents and dings fixed on our cars. Hence, we came up with the CR Dent day. Mark and I have come up with a date far enough out that we thought should work for many. Saturday October 19th from 10AM-4PM Location is on the edge of Johnstown, on Fancher Rd at RT62. You'll see the sign to know you're in the right place. Price will be evaluated by Mark once he sees it.
  6. Have to work into the evenign, but will do what I can to be there. Loves me some CR gathering.
  7. Will my GI Bill pay for this?

    Comic Con

    Child petter convention.
  9. Most guys who use this equipment, also use Midol for a pre-workout. Hehe. I kid
  10. I text my guy. He will send me pics later and I can get them to you. I know there are a few plates, bar and a cage.
  11. I might know someone with a squat rack, bar, and weights. LMK
  12. I like unique weapons and ammo. but, this isn't one I am big on. The .40 and 10mm have it covered up and down. It's not like a FN 5.7 or even the PMR30. It's an odd unique. I have not heard anything more from my family member who was looking into this. Thanks for the in put CR. I learned about a new variant with this thread.
  13. Create a landing that doesn't hurt the dog, yet frustrates it to not want to go in your yard. Inexspensive, yet effective: Need nails and twine. Take thin string, or bailing twine. Run it 12" lower than the top of your fence, spaced 8" apart. Do this and run it 4' out, or however far you need to, to create a net like landing zone. The dog will not get hung up in the string. It's only 3' off the ground. No issue for a dog that size. If you need to justify it, say you plan on planting something there (I know it's late in the season for this). If the dog does damage to your fence by landing in the sting, now the owners will have to pay to fix it, resulting in TRAIN YOUR DAMN DOG. It's time consuming and frustrating. It might cost you $20 and 30 minutes to set up. It will be somewhat confrontationale, though not as bad as having a Pug chew toy issue. Getting the dog out of your yard will be a pain after. But, the dog will only do this a few times before it's just too big a pain in the ass to jump your section of fence. GL

    September 11th

Citizens are not combatants. They are the very being that people who serve their country and community defend. To attack the unarmed, a way of life even; is frightening that people can be that way. My family, my friends and yours, are at threat in their everyday life. Americans, in general, are a compassionate nation and therefore an easy target for those willing to hurt the innocent. In rememberance of September 11, talk to the ones you love about vigilance and not being a victim. I think by doing so, and addressing that there are people out there who want to harm our nation and Americans, we may make a differance by being situationally aware. Today, I choose to celebrate those who lost their lives, while toasting those how made a differance that day.
  15. I'm one of the isheep. And I agree with what you posted. They need to do something ground breaking. It needs to wipe your ass for you or something. I stay with the iPhone because it's the tool I need for the job. I'm not a mechanic, I just work on things from time to time. So I don't need it to do as much as what others get upset about it not doing.
  16. Here's what I was able to find for model info if anyone is interested. It does not list the R2, but they came out in 94-95. In 1993, three North American models were offered; the "base", the touring, and the R models. The touring FD included a sunroof, fog lights, leather seats, a rear window wiper and a complex Bose Acoustic Wave system. The R (R1 in 1993 and R2 in 1994–95) models featured stiffer suspensions, an aerodynamics package, purple-hued microfiber seats (which are sometimes erroneously considered to be suede), and Z-rated tires. In 1994 a PEG (performance equipment group) model was offered. This model featured leather seats and a sunroof. It did not include the fog lights or Bose stereo of the touring package. In 1995 the touring package was replaced by the PEP (popular equipment package). The PEP package contained leather seats, sunroof and fog lights, but didn't have the Bose Stereo nor the rear window wiper. More exact stats: http://alecto.bittwiddlers.com/vehicles/rx7-numbers.shtml
  17. FD's came in touring and R1. The R1 from the factory is better suspention, 2nd oil cooler, no sunroof........blah blah blah. Kevin has been working on so many other cars, he has not done any of the changes he wants to his own. His car is pretty sick, needless to say. There's nothing that needs fixed. Kevin and I have talked of being in a constant state of perfect them to us. We understand that is pretty much endless.
  18. I have compared them. I also let the two CR members that were there compare them, because they are that drastic of a difference toshoot. I have my 10/22 that I grew up with and have been shooting it for 25 years. The scope on it is just a cheap one that is pretty accurate. I would say the Nikon and the 3-9 makes a huge differance on the new gun and provide the ability to do what I'm looking for past 50M. I would take you on on shooting the take down. I have had my eye on them for quite some time, I just haven't pulled the trigger(pun intended). Besides, an unfire new gun is a shame. You could bring it out and shoot. It would be interesting to see a comparision.
  19. $1500+ is far past what I'm interested in .22. I got a good deal, that's why I scooped up this one.
  20. I have been wanting to do a .22 precision build for quite some time. I have had an out of the box, with and "ok" scope, as a plinker for 25 years. The reason I wanted to do a build based on precision shooting is because I love how overlooked the .22 is for effectiveness and some distance. It's not a 400 meter shooter. But, I plan to stretch the legs with this one and see if I can be on target. I understand anything over 150M; by the time it gets there, it's a bee sting. The bullet will be around 800FPS and it just drops off hard after that. It's more of a math problem for me and to work the fundamentals of shooting. Blah blah blah blah, talk about the gun already, ok. This build fell in my lap and it not my work putting it together. I'm just the luck new owner, but it's what I would have pretty much done. I pick the glass, and do the shooting. Thanks all. Ruger 10/22 stainless Unknow bolt (I forget) 1 of 8 "special" Shilen bull barrels SS Shilen competition 3 ounce trigger SS Ruger walnut stock with a little bit of work done, just basic stuff Extended bolt handle SS Extended mag release SS The glass: Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 BDC Rimfire http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/111CDB74-02EF-448F-B271-D0A642F0C140-5261-0000039152E225A8_zpsf6c468d9.jpg So I get it all put together and got out to sight it in. 50M is the zero, and that's all I was going to mess with for range and to get a feel for the gun. I will increase the distance when I have the time to. I have also been making note on how it responds with different ammo. I will share that info once I shoot it more with distance. So I shoot and make my adjustments. I feel the zero is solid, so I test it. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/6EF561C4-D033-4142-965E-062C0534E741-5261-0000039287414020_zps29e31fbc.jpg That's 2 shots on target. The gun shots so easy and flawless, everything about it feels like I'm cheating. After that, it was just fun to see what I could hit. Invisible fence came out and put up their survey flags in our yard. I said there's pretty much no way to shoot the metal post of the flag, but I'll give it a shot. First shot, dead on. 2 people from CR where at my house to see it. I mean it's like shooting a wire coat hanger. The gun just makes it too easy. I literally put the gun down and had to walk away. I'm beyond pleased with the new plinker. I look forward to updating this thread with more results as I can. Thanks for reading.
  21. Agreed. Take a car that is fast to most and has work done(GTR), race car not many hear about being heavily modded (TTRS) putting bus lengths on the GTR. Post vid saying winner winner chicken dinner. Great to see an TTRS getting good work done and being a power house. Would like to see apples to apples being compared.
  22. Thanks Clark. What are you hearing or seeing with this round? Is it here or just visiting and not catching on?
  23. I'm aware it was discontinued and the barrels are out there for swap. Midway is out of stock, I had looked there too when Google linked it. I can't say I'm on board with the .357sig. I am gathering info though. Just seeing if CR had any experience with the round or weapon.
