It is the edit button for any time I go out. If I can not do a proper risk assesment for the safety of the ones I love, I have to ask if it is worth doing. And if it is still worth doing, I have to midigate the risk in some way to make it safer and increase the percentage of not having an incident.

    Damn it GLOCK!!

I have stuck with M&P for what I refer to as a "combat pistol". They fit my hand well, and are simply a slide and take down lever. I don't want or need the other gadgets and the weight that comes with them. That said, the comparable Glock to the M&P, was lighter than the M&P. That's a big factor to me, so long as it can put rounds on target. We shall see how this turns out.

    Damn it GLOCK!!

F@#$ing have hated Glock for years. The bulky , square grip, and crappy feel for my hand. It has just bugged the hell out of me for a long time. I commend them for the quality of the build, but they were a gun I have written off for a long time. Not to mention the fanboys out there are annoying. The tacticool type, of many who have them just to say they have a G LOCK, is also frustrating. It's like the Mustang of handguns and has no uniqueness. Well, like the Mustang, Glock's 4th gen has fixed some of the personnel things I disliked. The grip is less bulky and the corners feel a lot better. It hasn't changed much in looks. Hell no, I'm not getting a Mustang! But, I might be getting a Glock to replace the .40's I just sold.

Frank hits it for reality. This is probably best where to stop things. Don't go to stupid places, with stupid people, who do stupid things. Depending on your experience's, and those would be individual. Let's not turn this into attacking the guy for wanting to feel safe for himself and his family. People who have been a victim, or experienced innocent people being victimized, may have the mindset of not letting that happen again. There are always the "maybe's" in any situation. Not knowing the details and passing judgment, could put you in the same seat as uninformed lawmakers.
  5. I hardly ever come home for lunch. Today I did, and it paid off. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/4FF5B8C3-9016-4449-8A63-F956F3894280_zpssq0hvh9e.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/C831FC4B-53F1-4662-B040-B731103D3701_zpsu5htmpzr.jpg
  6. Family in town from out of state. Trying to take them there.
  7. Bump found more ammo. Price is the same.
  8. No line crossed that I'm aware of. Good info to have. Thanks for posting it. I'd rather use a CR referral, than google or search Craig's list for a late night fix.
  9. Bumping this thread to update. I happen to be driving the wife's SUV today. The remote start has been doing additional beeps. I though it might need reprogrammed. Then today is went into a beeping sequence that would not stop, like it was going to detonate. It did this for about 30 minutes, changing tone and beeps, but would not stop. I call Pickups Plus and talked to Justin. I was in the area and asked if I could stop by and have it looked at. He said they were pretty busy, but he would do what he can. A quick search on the way there, came up with the batteries in the fob are dead. I stopped at a batteries plus down the street to get what I needed. I still drove over to see Justin because if there was an issue, I wanted his input. He took care of everything and we are good to go. I was a little demanding. I was no notice on a fix. And Pickups Plus, with Justin, got me taken care off. Yes, it's something simple, but I just didn't have time to mess with it today and they took care of me.
  10. If you don't feel like fighting for it, because it would cost more than the $3000 to go after it, I'd tell them face to face what they did screws the other family members over. If they don't make things right, cut the cord until they make amends. If family is willing to screw over family, that's not family. Blood relations can only far so far. If they will screw you over once, they will do it again down the road.
  11. Thanks Clay. That means a lot. You and your family were great to work with.
  12. Just send in your application again and the fee. No retraining cert needed.
  13. You have to let those people out drive themselves. You know who is there and knows how to drive and who the bumper car people are. And when the session is over, they know they were out driven even with them driven dirty. No friends are made on that race rack. I do need to start bringing the GoPro. I have had some great passing and exchanges with over aggressive drivers. Wish I could go back and watch them. The corner workers have been good about using the flags. They shut the track down and removed a guy the other night.
  14. I put in a new heater and don't need these. I have 15 of them. $15 each This is where I ordered them and what I paid. I have the 3M 1000's, just like in the link. http://www.discountfilters.com/air-filters/3m-9815-6-pack/p110635/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=Product_Search&utm_campaign=google_base&gclid=CP_f1tHY3r8CFbRxMgodxjQAqg I take a $2 per filter loss for easy math
  15. Or you could come to my class free, and shoo this ammo you bought, on my range.
  16. I'm going back to school in 8 years, if all works out well. I'm be well into my 40's. At that point I'm going back for me, to learn what I'm interested in. Do it. Never too late.
  17. Sold both the .40's and still have 1050 rounds of Blazer brass 180gr. It will be $16 per box of 50 rounds, or $250 for all of it. Will trade ammo for: .22LR at $25 per 500 value.
  18. I was there yesterday, running it backwards. That place is just fun fun fun. Unfortunately, I'm not able to make it there for this super track today. I should be there for the next one. The times have decreased, but I think that might be a good thing. The karts are still pleanty fast in the mid to high 30's for normal track. They have had some over aggressive, one race people show up there. But, that is why they have the cop there, to keep the peace and ensure no one is drinking and driving. There was a glaze on the tires last week that came from a tire pressure change and the cool temps. They took all the karts out to the parking lot and ran them to scuffed up the tires, and bingo, the grip was back.
