I can't post pics from work computer, but this link may help. The term "clip" is Hollywood, and incorrect. https://www.google.com/search?q=clip+vs+magazine&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=TaO-U8iiD8i-8QGQpYDoBw&sqi=2&ved=0CBwQsAQ&biw=1366&bih=673

I figured that was coming. Me being a dick was going back in to confront the person parking like that, and correct them. Me not being a dick, was approaching it as maaaybe it's a little old lady, so play nice at first. At that point, the situation was what it was.

Well said, Tim. I have a huge respect for the older folks. Many of them have served, and have lived a life with far less luxuries than we have now. I always thank them for putting on the uniform in their day, to give the opertunity for me to wear mine today. It makes them smile pretty big; and that's kind of awesome.

Not the funniest story, but I thought I would share. I grabbed lunch at Wendys today. I go to leave, and when I get to my car, the car next to me had parked so close I could not open my door to get in. I'm in uniform and driving my GOV car. I'm always very over understanding when out in the public, especially with a GOV car. So, I go back inside and nicely ask who has the gold Accord. No answer. Then this one guy says, "I think it's his". Pointing to a hunched over older man. I asked him if it was his car, and he didn't even look up or move. Just kept eating his chili. He couldn't hear me at all. At this point I was feeling kind of bad, but very glad I did not go back in pissed off. He did look up as I was asking him again, and did say it was his car. I explained he had parked too close for me to not hit his car with my door. He happily got up and we headed out side. I asked if he would like me to move it. He said he had it. At this point I just want to help in any way and not distract him. So, he gets in his car and moves it over. This is how he parked. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/E32CA381-4ECF-49F2-8894-13879371C4B0_zpsaqyuu5sz.jpg I knew people from inside had to be watching. I could not help laughing a little and wanted to correct him. But, no one else was parked near, and what was done was done. I thanked him and drove away with a big smile. Poor old guy shouldn't be driving, but he just wanted his chili.

Very different items in comparison to the reviewed optic. Micro red dot. There are many quality dots out there. I just don't want to see someone else waste 3 hours and 120 rounds on this same item.

Haha. Sorry for tormenting you Steve. You are welcome to come and shoot them here at the house before you buy them.

If it's a daily driver, I can see where it might be a pain. The FD is black. I drive it about 5 times a month. I don't think it's that bad, but that is pretty light use. I guess it would depend on how clean you want it to look ,and if you enjoy or hate cleaning it.

I like the beach vid better than the boom curplosions vid.

I don't shoot my .40's anymore. I don't know if I've shot 100 rounds between the guns in the last 18 months. This gun has about 700 rounds through it. No failures or blemishes. Comes with 3 mags and everything it left the store with you see in the pic. Comes with 50 rounds of target ammo. Must be 21 years old and able to buy and own a firearm. Not looking for any trades. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/FCB147BF-6325-4BA7-A369-567E5BC2FE13_zps6axrmvwe.jpg

I don't shoot my .40's anymore. I don't know if I've shot 100 rounds between the guns in the last 18 months. The Shield grip is stippled, and has an Apex trigger in it. It has never had a failure. There might be 500 rounds through it. So, it's just broken in. Comes with everything it left the store with in the pic. It has two mags. Comes with 50 rounds of target ammo. Must be 21 years old and able to legally buy a firearm. I'm not looking for any trades. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/2DCA897B-980B-4916-A754-1692173CBFBB_zpsyszrjrpf.jpg

To add to what Bob has said, the visibility of the dot is also a factor. You might be able to see the dot indoors, but go outside on a sunny day, and the dot is washed out. When I was buying one last week, I asked t take a few outside to see the dot in daylight. They were fine with that and went outside with me.

I haven't been able to find much for reviews on these. I did see a vid of a guy returning his second one with a crack in the glass. He was using 12g.Even if it is a bad one, don't have the time to swap and rezero. I'll stick to the ones I have and entertain another way to reduce bulk.

This review is for the Bushnell First Strike Micro red dot optic. http://www.bushnell.com/all-products/rifle-scopes/ar-optics/first-strike-hirise# These retail for $99 at Vances, all the way up to $169. I bought this yesterday for a combat carbine close quarters class I'm going to this weekend. I have a good optic, but have been entertaining going to a micro to save bulk and weight. I like that this one is able to self adjust to lighting, and that saves on the battery too. It was all I was looking for to still have good field of view and not be bulky. However, after working through a 50M zero, it just would not hold the zero. the windage and elevation adjustments are not notched and tuned easily. I assume the vibration and gravity with the easy to move adjustments, is what allowed the zero to fall away. For the short time the zero did hold, here's what I noticed. Shooting at 25m and less, was a drastic difference in point of aim and point of impact by 6"-8". I've not experienced this with any of my other optics. After 120 rounds of chasing zero and adjusting for every distance, I had enough. For the price, I was not expecting to be blown away. From the name brand, I was expecting at the very least, to have a solid functioning optic. I will be returning it.

Without knowing your area; as you have now better described it, for the vast majority we probably assumed you were running trails or in a park. I can see your point now. You have to go with what you are comfortable with. Congrats on the new fitness venture.

Japan is an interesting place. I was there twice for 6 months each time. Although I was in Okinawa, I did spend some time on the main land. I liked it there and got to do some cool training. I wish I was into cars when I was there. Just keep in mind you will be a minority, and people still hold grudges. Most of the people in Japan were very Westernized and excited to have an American friend. You're married, so you shouldn't have to worry about the chicks asking you to take them to the big PX. Go sight seeing and take a lot of pics. I hate that I was too busy having fun and never took pics. There is so much history and culture there, do all you can to see as much as you can. Eli has been there a bit recently. Hopefully he will chime in.

I found everything I like to use on there for a pretty good price. Need to know exactly what you are taking to be able to compare. Are you doing a 20g protein shake or a 60g, for example?

Pepper spray still gets my vote for a runner. There are many tools out there for the job. Find what you work best with. Only Tyson is sticking around after being pepper sprayed.

Running for exercise and holstered gun are just tough to get to work together. My biggest dislike over all is you are going to be in a soft holster, to avoid getting friction issues. With that said, you are going to sweat. Soaking the holster and then the gun. Within a month of running, I know I'm not going to want to run with a gun anymore. I would pick a safer place to run rather than invest in a set up to try and run in. The sweat is the deal breaker for me. If you don't care about the sweat issue, I would consider one of these, with a t-shirt over it. http://www.cabelas.com/product/511reg-Tactical-Holster-V-Neck-Shirt/1365958.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dshirt%2Bholster%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=shirt+holster&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products
