  1. sinker edm is what you want.

You need a couple threads to start EDMing when fiixing threads. Basically EDM uses electricity to burn threads in. Without a start for tapping EDM it will just cut leaving you with god knows what for threads. Besides that about 1/2 the time threads come back oversize.

And I know you don't want to hear it but grind the nuts off and weld on new (look at your pics that shit is 1/2 fucked). Your messing with what three maybe four threads. That will be fucked up because your start hole is off center and itlooks like you have already kissed the threads on the nut. also your going to use a flat bottomed tap with no lead to even start cutting threads. Besides by the time your tap starts to follow good threads you have lost three of them if its not cross threaded. Not to mention they won't be square (looks like ass in my opinion)

To weld the new nuts I would screw them to the heat shield and line em up on the pipe. Tack it all in and unscrew heat shield and then weld.

    Jackass/machinist just my .02.

  2. Let's not beat around the bush here. Bad is getting married and whatever reason he has for selling, is bullshit. Just man up ajd say the bride to be is making him sell his toys. There's a thread about it dig for yourselves.

  3. I don't know much about them anymore. Looking to get into cycling, and I'm after a good entry level road bike. They just have them broke down into with all kinds of descriptors that I don't know what I'm looking at. Or they all look the same to me.  I am looking to do around 15 to 20 miles a day.

Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  4. Ill check and see if he has records. Valve clearance can't be too hard to do on that motor, just not sure if I'd be able to hear them clicking over the mechanical whirr those triples make...

Mine sounds like a bag of hammers fucking a typewriter. You won't hear shit. Maintnance isn't bad at all. Like I said its parts availability. 2 week wait from bike bandit, or travel to nearest dealer then wait.

  5. Hit britrider.com several there have them. Oldschoolsdime95 will chime in eventually. But the big worries are sprag clutch on starter, rear wheel bearing and pivot at the shock and swing arm. When they fail you are either going down or your motor is fucked. These are maintnance items if it fails its your fault. Sprag I just make sure to start in neutral. No excessive loading. Oh and they leak oil from the shift lever. Parts availability kinda sucks. Most guys put a riser on the bars. The triple motor you will love. Its not an all or nothing motor its quite good throughout the rev range. And from how I've seen a few guys ride them they are very capable bikes.

Tune Ecu is free tuning for the triumph works great and they have every map available. That would fix fueling issues.

Owning one will put you in the cool guy club. Harley guys can't hate on you and everyone else thinks your on a Ducati.

I think one of the guys on britrider has one for sale with minor scratches on fairings for less but very well maintained.
