  1. Any new car or motorcycle dealership can do an out of state vehicle inspection...you don't have to go to the License/Title Bureau for that, FYI.
  2. For a 48 in a 35 violation, you should feel lucky it was a camera and only a $100 fine.
  3. Five Mexicans, 30 minutes, hypothetically speaking of course.
  4. While what you say USED to be true, it's really not anymore. A four door Honda Accord isn't even close to a four door FWD Acura TL. There truly are a lot of "upgrades" for the increase in price. Same for Audi versus VW. Same for Infiniti versus Toyota. Not that there's anything wrong with the lesser expensive brands though.
  5. $18k isn't a terrible price for that SUV, as it was probably close to $60k new...but I'd feel a little more comfortable around $16k with $2k in reserves in case of an expensive repair. Is it possible to get a full check over at an Audi dealer before you commit to a purchase? It may cost $100 or so, but could save you big in the long run. 6. I thought that car in AWD would still be $25 plus. Gotta love that new car depritiation!
  7. Not all TLs are AWD, and probably will be difficult to find in his price range. It is a great system though, and that's coming from me...a Subaru Legacy owner. I'd love to be able to afford to upgrade to a TL SH AWD!
  8. Keep about $2500 in a separate account for any problems...and that might cover half or so of the cost for a repair when it happens! Seriously though, is it up to date on all maintenence? Full service records? Ever been wrecked? Paint original? Tire thread? Alignment recently? How many owners? How much?
  9. Add up the amount of the lease payments, plus any down payment, plus the amount to buy at the end of the lease, plus sales tax on the buyout amount, plus interest if you have to finance the buy out amount...and the end total amount is ALWAYS going to be more than purchasing from the beginning. I honestly cannot think of how leasing then buying could be cheaper than only buying. Don't get me wrong, leasing can be great at times. My wife has leased a VW Jetta three times, and it's truly a bargain...but she stays under the mileage limit. The one she has now had a $25k MSRP, and her payment is $262 for 39 months/36k miles. No down payment, and all maintenance is covered(minus brakes and tires...but those will both be fine). In three years, she turns it in and gets another new one. MAG VW is where she gets them, Lori Barber is the saleswoman, and it's literally a piece of cake. Never had a single issue.
  10. The Mazda 6 is a really nice car too, and the Touring is about the same price as the Honda Accord Sport.
  11. Advice from someone who sold cars for five years, don't lease if you "have" to buy at the end due to the amount of mileage you drive. Financially, it's not the best option. Good luck!
  12. You'll be hard pressed to find a Acura TL for that amount, unless it has 50k miles on it. How about a new Honda Accord Sport? MSRP is $24k. That's a lot of vehicle for a relatively low price point, and it's brand new.
  13. What is the top dollar amount you're wanting to spend?
  14. Of all those, reliability being #1, I choose the Acura. That's a pretty broad group though...
  15. Sometimes life is rough and you're born with fucking idiots for parents. With that said, I fully support the police in this situation. Go cops! The only way it could have turned out better is if all drug heads would have been killed.
  16. Redwing, more specifically, made in the US with US materials. You can only buy those at a RedWing boot store. Anything better is going to be twice as expensive. I've been wearing the 2404 for over two years, and they still look new.
  17. Are you saying a car turned left in front of him, coming the other way...or same direction?
  18. My last trip through the "Gap" was in the foogy rain...I didn't see a single car the whole time. It was awesome!
  19. This one, specifically. http://www.longacreracing.com/products.aspx?itemid=1717&prodid=7317&pagetitle=Liquid+Filled+2%C2%BD%E2%80%9D+GID+Tire+Gauge+0-60+by+%C2%BD+lb
