  1. That's why I promptly stripped it down and gave it a good cleaning once I brought her home!
  2. Ninjachick, are you free anytime tomorrow? I'm off all day...and need to get some round through my new toy.
  3. Waffle House at 3AM. As good as it get's in Marysville!
  4. F1Sniper, what do you like as a platform for the .338?
  5. Still not overkill...unless we're squirrel hunting
  6. I have not shot more than a handful of rounds since Aug. 1997 when I exited the Marine Corps. My last 2.5 yrs in, I was 8530/8531 Marksmanship Coach/Instructor. Quantico Va. and Stone Bay/Camp Lejeune NC.
  7. I have never met Tom, so I have no idea what he would/wouldn't recommend. I was merely stating where to shoot long distance, and that a coworker knows the guy that runs the joint. For 500-700 yards, I would also go with .308, BUT, 500-700 yards isn't long distance to me. "Long Distance" to me is 1000+ yards. If you're mainly going to be shooting sub 500 yards with 700 being the absolute max, why not a quality long barreled 5.56? Cheaper match ammo than .308 match. http://www.impactguns.com/colt-accurized-rifle-24in-cr6724-car15-cr6724.aspx

  10. http://thundervalleyprecision.com/ Guy I work with that is from Coshocton is good friends with Tom Sarver.
  11. Maybe if we were hunting squirrels with a .50Cal...but long range shooting, no such thing as overkill. I respectfully disagree.
  12. There is no such thing as "overkill". Furthermore, the more "capable" a round is at being accurate at distance, the easier it it's to be accurate with it.
  13. Good additional point. My suggestions are valied if speaking 600yards plus.
  14. I will add though, for really long range, .338 Lapua. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/.338_Lapua_Magnum Savage makes some excellent long range rifles in this caliber.
  15. 30/06 for long range, without a doubt. http://riflemansjournal.blogspot.com/2011/04/cartridges-sibling-rivalry-308-vs-30-06.html?m=1
  16. I curious...what does everyone consider to be "stockpiling"? Say you have a 9mm, or a .45... How many rounds is enough of each? 1,000? 50,000? Discuss...
  17. 3/12/2009 Not news, and not going to happen.

  19. I've purchased three new vehicles since I stopped working at a Jeep dealership in 2002. I've found that being informed and knowledgeable about ever aspect of the purchasing process has eliminated all of the stress most people encounter. I let the dealership people know up front, and in a polite way...boom, no games. Easy peasy.
  20. Are you a midget, seriously? I always thought it was some kinda joke...
  21. You should take Jester with you. I know he's very knowledgeable about vehicles.
  22. I love chili...I'm just sayin...
  23. This statement right here just made you my new best friend! I have one child, a boy, and you're God damned right I'm going to spoil him. That's just one of the reasons I work my ass off. I'm buying you a fucking beer. We need to meet (no homo).
  24. Invite us all over for a pizza/gun cleaning party. 25 guys show up packing heat...that doucebag will shit bricks and never look your way again. I'm free Wednesday, and anytime this weekend.
