In 2000, I did a track day at Mid Ohio on my 1999 BMW K1200RS. My buddy was supposed to come along and ride his R1100S. His R1100S needed brake pads(found out the night before), so instead of not going, he rode his dad's 1999 K1200LT. He was still faster than me... He passed me, and I could hear AC/DC blasting on the stereo. True story.

Met him over at Polaris and had lunch with him. After he bought my helmet, he threw his in the trash can. It was in rough shape to say the least...he said probably 300,000 miles of riding(it was 3 years old)... Pretty cool guy.
