  1. I actually saw one of these yesterday and thought of this thread, I will say that these cars look awesome in person, I actually parked just to check it out, makes me wish I had the $$$ for it, the design was ahead of its time.
  2. too much, it was like $110+ for me
  3. I checked it out today and it was solid, I think I'm gonna grab it tommorw, its a tbi it shifted nice and it comes with wodden DIY tonneau (sic?), the suspension was good and tight hopefully I won't need to do a lot of work to it.
  4. Just make sure to watch for seagulls
  5. ahhh...know what it's not a zr2, i read the autocheck wrong, I think it might be the ls version...anyway to check using the VIN #? And I'll have to find out on the motor when I get there, should I be wary of TBI? I remember reading something about the 4.3 motors can be interchangeable somewhat...again will the VIN # on the engine tell me if there was a swap or do I just look for the big "Vortec" embedded on it
  6. well I think im gonna probably go with the truck I posted earlier, its a zr2 though so I think lowering it is out of the question but finding a v6 5speed is almost f-ing impossible it seems. any suggestions on how I should haggle this because apparently the rockers are rusted out but I will see it in person sunday.
  7. ....any better pictures?
  8. Someone has to drive a Prius http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01509/toyota_1509924c.jpg
  9. Paul are they both sticks or autos, I mean I can get nice mpg by shifting efficiently and not going balls out at every traffic light, I'm definitely on the hunt right now though, any other truck considerations though? And of course I've no issue with driving down to Columbus for a solid deal
  10. That s10 is badass but I'm probably never going to go offroad, that truck would give me an excuse to but then i'd be spending more time in the truck than on my bike, I'll keep my eye on it though. I already looked at the Dakota and i can't do it with the v8 and hardcore city driving, I'll have to pull a fast n' furious and steal a gas truck, I did look at CLEETUS at one point though
  11. I got no problems with the size factor of the interior because truthfully I prefer a smaller cabin I don't want to feel like I'm commanding a battleship and i don't want to sit on phonebooks. I do want to know what I usually have to look for with the v6, I read about the head gaskets of the 4cyl but the v6 I'm kinda clueless. The Toyota trucks up here are either pristine and out of my price range or beat to hell and ran thru like a truck stop whore
  12. well naw, it doesn't matter if its older than 2000's I probably should just say 2nd gen but I mean if the right 1st gen truck came up I'd rock it. and i'm 5'8 (my feet touch the ground on my bike, its not a pocket bike. me>short jokes) and 03svt I've got a 280z that needs a clutch and bodywork if you want to unload the ranger for less
  13. ok well, I'd rather take the CR word for it and drop the 2.2l and go after a v6, hows the market in columbus for them because it's kinda wide open in Cleveland there is alot of crap and alot of junk that people want outrageous $$$ for but i've seen some nice stuff that i've called on but the owners were about as clueless as an auction reseller. I looked at some that were already lowered but the p/o had already bought them that way so they couldn't tell me what parts were there and I have NO problems with doing my own suspension work so i'd probably want to have everything stock for the most part. thought about looking into this one http://cleveland.craigslist.org/cto/2519438732.html but i don't want to just jump in without testing the waters.
  14. So i've never had a truck before and I want one to drive in the winter months and so I can have something to carry my motorcycle and other misc. stuff on occasion. Now I love shifting gears so a manual is pretty much all i've been looking at. I'm in the $3k range which I think is solid for a early 2000's truck. Now my question is I've been really leaning towards an s10/sonoma because there are alot out there but im not too sure on the whole 4cyl and v6 comparisons, i looked at alot of forums and they are all over the place with info and i'm a total truck n00b:confused: I'm kinda leaning towards the v6 but the gas mileage will be a difference in $$$$ but how about the performance because I mean i do ENJOY driving and yeah I'm probably gonna mod it a bit. But other than the s10/sonoma's should I be looking at other trucks also? I don't need a full size pickup by any means and only need 2 seats so anyone have any suggestions? I've been scouring clist for a few days now.
  15. I use the kit from v-leds.com on my ninja 500 and I also have a set on my car, both are great quality have had them for over a year with no issues.
  16. looks like a bike to me, does it have rear turn-signals mounted, i see the front but cant tell from behind
  17. post a pic I have a 03 ex500 but i've been trying to teach my girl to ride and i cringed when she dropped it in the parking lot but it's not like its a 11' r1
  18. Did noone else notice the bike in picture 10? And you call yourselves motorcyclists....tsk tsk
  19. might know someone interested, have you tried to replace the battery or do you think its just the alternator?
  20. So I was out at an evening charity event and rode the bike. I was going to lock my jacket onto the bike with my python lock but I just kept it on because it was an outdoor event so it wasn't too hot. Stuffed gloves in the helmet and locked the helmet. Came back a few hours later after the even ended and my helmet and gloves are gone............Why the heck would you cut the strap and take a strapless helmet? And the gloves weren't anything special but c'mon! Stealing outside of a chairity event!!! I hate thieves, that's like breaking into someones car to steal their seabelts! So now I have to spend $$$ on a new helmet. I'm gonna be on the look out on craigslist, even though its a shot in the dark but I think that if you are caught stealing something like that you should have your hands removed.

It was a large hjc is-16 "scratch" helmet along with blue gloves from a taiwanese company "kuxia". If I find them on CL i'm going to see if I can buy them back....I wouldn't be the one paying for it though.
  22. you should tell the guy to remove his clutch and brake levers also, for weight reduction...of the earth
  23. I'm going , I don't know what i'm wearing though my camo fieldsheer mesh or my a* leather.....just look for the blue ninja 500 with skateboard grip tape on the rear footpeg/sliders...oh and a camera in my helmet should give me away too
